Nick Chubb doing Nick Chubb things in the gym

He looks like he’s about done. He’s barely over 400 yards rushing the last two seasons and will be 30. He’s not nearly what he was.
Before hurting his knee in 2023, he was averaging more than 6 yards per carry. That followed five years of averaging 5-plus yards per carry.

Last year, he struggled coming off injury and then broke his foot. I'd rather have taken a chance of him getting back to at least close to what he was than Williams and Sanders being able to do it. They have both averaged under 4 yards per carry for two straight years.

I think someone is going to get a Barkley, Henry type resurrection when he is signed.

Not sure about a Barkley or Henry repeat but the injuries the last two explain the performance. If healthy, I take him over any of the guys we had on the team pre draft.

I’d take him, still young….hes had injuries but so did Frank Gore and AP….Chubb was fantastic not THAT long ago. Considering where we at, worth a shot….we have no clear starter.

I think he's going to surprise. Obviously, I may be wrong, but I'd like for us to be the team that takes that chance. To me, it's a better bet than Williams or Sanders having big seasons.

I don't know what his asking price is, and it may be far above what's reasonable, but I sure wouldn't let what we've done so far at the position keep me from going after him.

I'm just waiting for Zeke to post a video so we can sign him! Seriously though, Nick Chubb is an amazing athletic freak!

If we signed Chubb and Cooper, I'd be satisfied with where we are heading into camp. Not saying I wouldn't have made different moves to fortify this team, but I'd feel better about some of our potential weaknesses.

Agree, think that plus the draft, plus the other FA signings at LB and depth for other positions….pretty decent off season. That plus health, new culture and oline coaching and scheme….id actually be decently excited to see how it all fits together.

He met with the bears and it’s starting to look like he’ll sign with them.

Signaling what we already knew, that the Bears hired a better GM and coach than what we have here. Teams that want to be good don't just go after players based on how cheap they are. They try everything to improve their roster.

What? Is that the answer to everything?
