I think Chubb likely goes late 2nd/early 3rd round, but should he drop to the 4th round would you pull the trigger.

He's a strong back that tested out better than expected at the Combine. He would suit the everydown type back some prefer behind Zeke.

What do you think?

If this team is going to make it with the ground game we need someone talented to be there should Zeke miss extended time. Chubb is a good choice.

I believe in drafting your board, if he is clearly ranked ahead of every one else then take him. You can forget about it though. Sounds like they are bound and determined to take another scat back and get very little value out of him. Chubb doesnt fit the bill, and some things never change.

Before his knee injury at Georgia he was being talked about in the same mold as Todd Gurley.
I would gladly take him. I want a solid RB that can handle the load over a so called "change of pace" RB.

Chubb is major value! I think he might end up being the best PRO back in the entire draft.
If he didn't have that horrible knee injury then he would've been a first round grade.
However, he bounced back nicely after injury and was a major weapon for Georgia.
If we are super committed to the run, our wideouts are weak and Dak is still young.
Draft Chubb in the 3rd. Draft defense in first and second.

I would consider him as high as the 4th. Going earlier is a bit rich in my opinion.

Todd Gurley's replacement at Georgia, Chubb had an incredible freshman season but injured his knee the following year. He didn't look like the same player after getting injured, peaking at 6.0 yards per carry last season after averaging 7.1 yards in his freshman season. Chubb was also frequently replaced on passing downs. He doesn't have the versatility that you'd want from a second-day pick.

I would whole-heartedly approve this. I think this team needs a legitimate backup to Zeke far more than a shifty 3rd down guy (which they've proven they won't utilize anyway).

Chubb was a blue chip talent before that nasty knee injury. From everything I've heard, he's a tireless worker and a great teammate also. I'd love to add him to the backfield.

Nick Chubb? YES PLEASE. He would take the role of Morris and would be an improvement. Keep in mind Zeke in heading into his 3rd year..so a couple less carries might be a good thing come playoff time. Chubb is a stud in his own right.

Chubb may be a two down back, but he is an elite runner. If Zeke were to go down, him and Smith would keep our ground going at a very high level

I sprint to the podium in the 4th

Amen, agree. Chubb still has that it factor. He is an alpha dog..its in his nature to be the best and go find daylight. Has a nose for the goaline and the first down markers. Reminds me of Emmitt quit a bit comin out of College..with his injury issues. Very similar players.Would be a steal at round 4.

agree. He sure sounds like Emmitt in many ways.
