Being 26, I was alive for the glory years in the 90s, but way too young to understand or truthfully care. 2007 was the closest thing I've ever witnessed to a SB with this team since understanding and appreciating the game, and I've been taunted relentlessly my whole life living in Bensalem (suburb 5 minutes outside of Philadelphia). I consider myself beyond diehard for a multitude of reasons, but I liked what Nick Eatman said yesterday.

Yesterday on Cowboys Break Nick Eatman mentioned there are tons of diehard Cowboy fans, especially the ones tuned in listening to a radio show on their Friday. He basically said Jerry needs to find a way to get more people like us (I would estimate 75% on this forum are die hard) into the stadium and less wine and cheese crowds. It is a common theme going around the NFL that we have no fans and are no longer Americas team. Yeah and Jason Garrett will not clap his hands at any point tomorrow.

I think this Giants game is going to be rocking. I have never been to Texas or AT & T stadium for financial reasons, but the fans who are die hard and don't have to take a plane I think will start filling the seats more. I'm totally against the people who say give me something to cheer for and I'll go, you're not a die hard. Us die hards cheer for this team 0-16 or 16-0. I wish I wasn't on a substitute teacher salary or I would be there in a blink. The day I get a contract my first purchase is a ticket. I'm fully expecting a home field advantage this week, and while it may not rock like Seattle, New Orleans, or Kansas City I think we will be able to finally get a few false starts out of the opposing teams. If you're reading this and will be at the game Sunday, make us die hares proud! Go Cowboys

I'm also 26, so I completely echo these sentiments. I'm still just in awe of the fact that I might actually be seeing a good Cowboys team at a time in my life where I could appreciate it. These last 2-3 years of football filled me with absolute vitriol toward the NFL, but I soldiered on because the Cowboys are my team. I've found that this season I'm enjoying the game so much more. I hope the Cowboys can keep it up because them being good allows me to enjoy the game. I haven't felt this good about the Cowboys since I was in high school and Parcells was rebuilding the program. I've never liked Jason Garrett, but I do want him to prove me wrong.

Here in Dallas we call the wine and cheese crowd the cocaine and boobjob crowd. It started with the ticket during the 90's. Not sure if its still a radio thing or just me and my crowd keep using it to describe the corporate crowd there to be seen, not so much to see a game. The corporations buy the tickets and give em out to employees who are not there to watch the Cowboys, but be seen in those seats and boxes, young exec's trying to impress the boob job blonde who doesn't even know what a first down or a running back is. Hate that thats what fuills the stadium these days, but in Dallas, thats what it is.

I agree, Jones needs to get the hard core, die hard fans in the seats to even come close to seattles crowd noise level. If he had 75% hard core fans in the stadium, instead of 10-15%, we'd blow the roof off the stadium.

I'm a season ticket holder this year. Couldn't make the 40 Whiners game but I'll be damned if I'm gonna sell to the enemy so I ate the cost. I'm hoarse for at least 2 days after every game. There are other avid fans in my section too. But I'll grant you that there are a lot of fans that should making more noise when we're on defense.

It really reminds me of the Toronto Maple Leafs in hockey, most die hard fans in the league...but prices so high only the "suits" show up, and barely cheer during the game.
they literally show up in suits. i've never seen that in any other sport.

Yeah, the first 5-10 rows at any Leafs home game is usually suits.

Tickets cost way too much for hardcore fans to go often.

I lived in toronto. Usually they show up in suits because they work downtown and games happen in the evening.

time to pump in the noise from the internet. In todays technology our screams from the living rooms should be heard throughout the stadium and blasted into AT&T Cowboys Stadium while Eli tries to get off the 3rd and 10 play.

The team doesn't care if you've been through the hard times or not.. As long as you scream your lungs out and give them home field advantage tommorow.

I'm 30 and I BARELY remember kinda paying attention to Super Bowl XXX. I remember Larry Brown's 2 INTs of O'Donnell, but don't remember if I actually saw the whole game live. We had a VHS tape of it that I watched every once in a while that off season.

But the first time I ever followed the Cowboys full time for an entire season was 1996. Sucks for me, eh?

The fan props was interesting, especially given all the BS that flies back and forth on this forum with all the call outs and "fan vs realist" nonsense.

Fact of the matter is that just about everyone that bothers to post here is a super fan of the team. No need for that stuff at all.

I'm 28 and remember Super Bowl 28 like yesterday. I was a diehard then and a diehard now, at halftime I was so ticked I stormed out onto my front porch and sat in the cold because we were losing to the Bills. Super Bowl 30 was much better for me to watch because my best friend was a diehard Steeler fan and I had to rub salt in the wounds.
