Nick Harris OTA notes

A few Cowboys OTAs notes:

- WR George Pickens hauled in a pair of receptions on a quick slant and a comeback along the left sideline
- DB Juanyeh Thomas played at safety and in the slot
- LB group was flying around (Shemar James & Buddy Johnson INTs, solid coverage from others)
- TE Jake Ferguson looks like he’s added some good weight
- TE Brevyn Spann-Ford was unstoppable today. Multiple receptions including one where he separated downfield
- WR KaVontae Turpin took some quick routes and made them into big gains
- It felt like every time I looked up, WR Jalen Cropper was making a reception
- Loved the day from CB Kaiir Elam on the outside. Had a couple of PBUs and looked confident
- RBs were rotated quite a bit, nothing really to take away from that group yet
This is great to hear about Cropper. He's still my pet cat. I wanted to draft him late rounds, but we ended up acquiring him as UDFA.

He really is a good player.

Tolbert is gonna have a nice 2025 season.
Maybe. It will be interesting to see how the receivers behind Pickens and Lamb are used. I would assume spending a fourth this year on Mingo means we want to give him every chance to thrive, and No-Schott has spoken highly of Turpin and using him for more than returns. I don't know how they will split the snaps. I would also expect us to use two tight ends or a tight end/fullback combo quite a bit so that will cut down on three- and four-receiver sets.

OTAs are OTAs.
Not sure they mean a lot, but it is what we got for a couple months here.
If you don't want to read about them then so be it, but whining to go from wasting your own time to wasting everyone else's is pretty daft.
.
This is a first-year staff with a heavily turned over roster.
If OTAs were ever going to mean anything it would be now.

I'm excited to see Milton play in the preseason but once the regular season gets started it's back to Dak underperforming and losses stacking up. That's not exciting stuff.
And him not being put in until Dak can't play anymore
