we will continue to give up 3rd/4th in 2 or less with hayden as the NT. The play demarco murray scored hayden was flat on his back 3 yard in the endzone smh. Come on you could of atleast dug into the ground and took the center and guards knees out and gave the linebackers a chance to make a play smh.

Hayden has never been as bad as most say. Marinelli et all aren't idiots as some would have us believe. They are fallible though. Hayden is an average starter at best and marginal at worst. I think the former. He is not a 3 nor is he a 0. In our defense lined up in a hole they are going to get caught leaning the wrong way at times and with a ZBS they are going to get swept aside. They aren't just shading (generally) or nose up. That's a con for this offense.

I'm not sure why we don't flex with some of these teams. Guys like T Crawford, Mincey, and Hardy are suited for that DT role IMO.

I see Irving as a swing player. He can play the 3, 5 and 7/9. He actually quick and nimble enough to play the role of an OLB lined up on the LOS IMO.

Like the way Seattle uses Irvin? Irving has some athleticism for a big guy and I would love too see more of him. Seems to be the kind of linemen RM likes since he can be effective in more than spot.

People are talking about Crawford however the biggest issue is Hayden to me.

Hayden is TRASH. Absolute TRASH. Never seen a guy get pushed around like a rag doll. That's great that he hustles, he can't take on blockers. Can't command double teams like he's supposed to. Zero threat as a pass rusher. He doesn't have a sack in THREE seasons on this team. He's a scrub in every sense of the world. You can't just have a motor. You have to be able to fight and get off blocks. You have to be able to tackle. Push the pocket back. He can't do anything. Rod needs to go. Why I keeps believing in this scrub is unbelievable to me. You can't have such a liability out there and people wonder why Crawford has been MIA. He's the one getting double teamed. You don't need a great one tech, but you need someone with some beef who can take up two guys. Who can get penetration. Who can be disruptive.

Irving is a beast but he's probably more of a 3-tech. I did see him and T. Crawford on the field at the same time when Hayden got injured though. We've needed a big DT for years now.

The thing about Irvin is, I think he can be moved to every position on the line and be effective.

Besides Gregory and Hardy, I really think he has the most upside of any player on our defense. I'm becoming a big fan of his, he's simply disruptive and should be on the field as much as possible.

Reminds me a bit of the Mad Stork. Long lanky strong guy who can move. Always amazed me he could play LB.

He got a B+ last week grading out. He probably got an A this week and on his way to an extension.

I swore he was in on that 4th and 1 in OT. Of course he got trucked.

My favorite Hayden moment was teh 4th and goal and within a second or two of the snap, he's already on his back in the end zone.

He stinks. I don't think Marinelli is stupid as like a lot of other coaches, he has favorites. Guys who give max effort, are good soldiers, etc. And sometimes coaches look beyond the fact they stink to see the good in players.

The only positive about Hayden is that he's at least durable lol
