I think you boys have gone off the deep end.
To my knowledge no player here in recent memory has been given a nickname based on his race or religion.
Why start now?
Lurking beneath all the joviality are some issues best left to be dealt by your consciences or you souls.

how about Zorro? The Savior of Mexico in Early ?1600's?

Then he can say "yo tengo grande juevos en los pantallones" to the opposing Deffenses

In the spirit of Ocho Cinco. A name and player I really like. And to acknowledge his Mexican side...........Grande Nueve or Querido Nueve!

Not that it matters. But I'm not spanish and had to look up the translation. So appreciate the effort and don't beat me up over it.

You know nicknames are a silly but endearing by-product of fan love. That stated you don't want to discount his Mexican and Italian heritage or his Americanism.

In view of this conundrum how about no nickname. It didn't hurt Troy Aikman or Danny White's career. Tony Romo sounds unbelievably cool enough to me. He doesn't really need a nickname to discombobulate his aura. If he keeps playing very effectively long term, he will become a cult figure in the Cowboys quarterback universe.
