Is it just me or does this kid remind anyone else of Witten. The route running and hands both appear to be good but something about his movement in general. Might be interesting if he slides to the second round.

He's outstanding based on what I've seen, I think going TE in the 2nd Rd will be tough to sell with so many defensive holes, if he's far and away BPA (I'll let others debate that) then it can be argued from a philosophical draft sense I guess. Personally, and most fans would probably agree, next years draft will need to be defensive heavy and early.

I could be a tough sell. Of course this team has left us scratching out heads with second round tight ends three times in our recent history with other seemingly more glaring needs. If I had my druthers and a stud og or rt was there I would be all over that. I agree though the bulk of our resources in fa and the draft need to be devoted to the defense.

I'd really rather not draft a TE this year.

If they go TE in the 2nd, my head will explode.

slides to the second? Is this guy projected as a first? He looks like a mid-rounder at best to me. Not particularly big, not particularly fast, not particularly athletic.

He'd probably be an H Back in the NFL, and I don't know if he's a good enough blocker to handle that kind of role or not.

Perhaps slides was a poor choice of words sub available. What intrigues me about him is a kind of nasty, old school style. If you are right and he gets a mid round grade I would def be interested around the fourth round. Thanks for the responses.
