I was just reading some about this guy since NFL Draft Scout put him in their top 10 ILBs.

First, he was an undersized hustle DE in college, who racked up a ton of sacks. I guess he's being put at ILB because of his size only (6-1, 245)? Did he play any ILB at all in college?

Regardless, I love what I read about this guy. Great motor and heart, and very smart with a 3.39 or something GPA. Sounds like he'd be an excellent special teams player while he learned a new position. We know he could rush when we blitzed him, and with Bradie learning to rush last year, we could keep offenses guessing on which ILB was coming.

Or maybe he could be our 3rd down pass rush specialist if we thought ILB would be too big a transition for him.

I love the back end of this draft for ILBs. I still think some of the guys from the mid rounds will be as good or better than the big names that will go in the first two rounds.

they're putting him at ILB because he reminds them of another undersized, Pac-10 DE who made the switch to ILB in the 3-4

one Teddy Bruschi

Height: 6-2. Weight: 255.
Projected 40 Time: 4.91.
Projected Round (2009): 7.

He's a tad bit slow to be a LBer in my opinion. He needs to be, at least, a 4.7.

he ran a 4.71 at his Pro Day
had a 4.28 short-shuttle and a 6.96 3-cone time, very good times, and it looks like he shed some weight to get down to 245

Ya I've seen him play a few times while watching Chung:rolleyes: and he's surprisingly quick..I have no idea if he would work at ILB that's a huge transition, but like Bob said, Tedy Bruschi did it so it isn't impossible.
