Nick Sirianni has been put in a good situation by his GM Howie Roseman by his drafting and doing free agency smartly plus the trading prowess of said GM. So it is not all Nick Sirianni also his coaching staff is pretty good too. All the nice things we are denied here in Dallas.

His face is also 6Xs more punchable than our past coaches. I swear he has to be pictured next to the word Dbag. I can't stand him. That said, we suck.

While interesting you of all posters chose to post this, it is not true

Nick Sirianni has 2 playoff wins this postseason and 2 in 2022

McCarthy has 1 as a cowboy
Garrett had 2 as a cowboy
And Phillips had 1

So he has as many as the last 3 coaches, not more than the last 6

The other three are Parcells, Campo and Gailey. He has the same as the last six coaches

I just read, that yesterday's win by the Eagles puts eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, in just his THIRD season, with more Playoff Wins than the last 6 cowboy coaches COMBINED.

Think about that level of failure for our franchise.

Please give your thoughts
Has nothing to do with coaching. Philly built a tremendous front 7 on defense and the best OL in the business. They have a better roster than us, and that was true before Barkley and their young CBs.

Stephen blames the lack of playoff success on that “sometimes that oblong ball doesn’t bounce the right way.”

Right.

No acknowledgement or understanding whatsoever as to what the actual problem is. It CANT be THEM, could it? Nooooo. They played for Arkansas. They are fully qualified.

But hey Jerry bought the team and gets to work with his kids. Fans of the institution that is the Dallas Cowboys before he showed up are just supposed to accept his “oh well it’s mine and I’m gonna do what I want” attitude.

I think it shows the importance of team building. There's a lot of handwringing over who the coach is, and a lot of blame put on who ever it is when the team fails. Sirianni isn't some great coach. He's not better than a Bill Parcells and may be not even better than a Jason Garrett. But his owner hired a GM who kept working on the roster until he got Sirianni what it takes to succeed. The Eagles' team building even goes back before that to Doug Pederson. Philly has won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles at QB and may be about to head to their second with Jalen Hurts at QB.

We complain about the wrong things around here. We want McCarthy gone (soon to replaced by the next head coach we'll want gone). We want Dak gone (after many wanted Romo gone and before that for us to find our next franchise QB because we sucked without one). Those things don't matter as long as we have the same GM. The Joneses are living off the success of the Cowboys under Jimmy, but they haven't done what's necessary to repeat that success and there's no indication that they ever will.
Excellent post. Good management is the foundation of any solid organization. It makes sound decisions a priority, inspires confidence, and promotes strong internal culture.

Good management is underrated also. It is the catalyst of every effort and circumstance yet to come, whether it happens in the present or in the future. It succeeds where poor management fails to deliver. Jerry Jones' form of management is not and has never been an exception.

The Joneses are living off the success of the Cowboys under Jimmy, but they haven't done what's necessary to repeat that success and there's no indication that they ever will.
This is the most damning observation of all and is totally true. Change must occur in order for it to be refuted. And that change hinges upon Jones, whether it is something he would do voluntarily (which he hasn't) or involuntarily. I have always wished he had chosen the former.

I watch these games and think, man Jerry and Stephen must be so upset, scared, frustrated, lost seeing how far the Cowboys are away from being a serious contender.

Then it hits me, Jerry is a pig in slop happy. Cowboys are being talked about. He is going to hire a coach he is comfortable with. And, he probably doesn't even know how far away his team is from being a contender.

depressing

All those 6 coaches had one common denominator, Jerry Jones. Good luck winning anything with that clown as the face of the team and GM.

Not hating on Nick but the Eagles not only have the best roster in the NFL he also has one of the best coaching staffs. They also have had playoff luck. The Giants, Rams in the snow, San Francisco with no quarterback, and now the team that upset of the Lions. He better win the Super Bowl this year. Can’t see him getting this lucky again .

Jayden Daniels has the look of destiny. Dan Quinn hoisting the Lombardi should be the final kick in the face to Jerry. Moore too if the Eagles somehow win.

That’s my point with the Cowboys coaching hire. It doesn’t matter. Jimmy said it best, when Jerry first started out with the Cowboys he was in debt so he had to concentrate on getting his money right. Jimmy and the football guys were able to get the Cowboys rolling with no interference. Once the Cowboys started making money Jerry wanted to get the credit so he pushed Jimmy out. He is not changing now. The Cowboys will always be this way as long as he lives.
