Nick Vigil LB Utah State

Any opinions on this player. Ive just recently started watching some of his tape. Actually was interested in Kyler Fackrell but this kid is always around the ball and just a playmaker. Came out a year early. Prolly wont win the combine but he's a tackling machine and just a good football player.

Vigil finished in the top 10 in the 3 cone drill and 20 yard shuttle at the combine. Out of all the participants! Not just the LB's. Ahead of Ramsey in both. Dude has some sick short area quickness and instincts to match. Gonna be a steal for someone!

Saw that.....

He's gonna be a mid round prospect....like a Zach Thomas IMO. He needs the right system to be effective. I'm not sure he will ever be a sideline to sideline LBer. But if you ask him to plug holes from tackle to tackle...he could be your guy.

Zach Thomas was a sideline to sideline MLB, not just tackle to tackle. Thomas made up for the lack of great size or speed with his instincts. He always seemed to know where the play was going even before the offense did.
