Speculation is the Cowboys are very high on Nicks and Robiskie. If Dallas does move up or stays put and drafts one of these guys, what does it say about Austin/Stanback/Hurd. When Jerry released TO, he's stated over and over that we had enough WR talent to make a run and wanted to give the young guys a chance. Was this a smokescreen or does Dallas really have no confidence in anyone behind Williams and Crayton.

Our biggest weakness is Safety not WR. If we are going to move up, take someone like Delmas or Sean Smith. You don't need two #1 WR's to win the SB or advance in the playoffs. Pittsburgh doesn't have one, Philly doesn't have one. We have enough at WR to win. Our safeties and need upgrading.

If they move up for Nicks, its because he is just too good to not go after.

While I don't expect it, I certainly wouldn't complain if he took a WR in the early rounds. Again, I'm not expecting it at all, but if we do, I won't complain one bit.

I think the Cowboys may trade up into the early part of round two to take a WR (Nicks, Robiskie, Heyward-Bey, Williams, Britt, Massaquoi) and then trade up again into the second round to take a Safety or a Guard.

They have the firepower to pull that off.

It says eactly what you are implying it says; What we have is not enough. Our leadership praises all areas and says we have no holes and can draft BPA. However, we will trade up and down all day to get certain players and it's becasue we actually do have many holes. For the most part, this current roster went 9-7 and ended the season getting b-slapped by a rival. I would say there is much work to do with this draft.

You are assuming we have one one on the roster.
Jason Witten is still here and he has been our leading pass catcher the past two seasons.

If defenses try to take him away it will provide big opportunities for the outside receivers.

All Tony Romo has to do is identify the best match-up on the field and try to exploit it.

Hakeem Nicks or Brian Robiskie both >>>>>>>> Sean Smith

We definitely need a safety or two, but just because they dont take one first doesnt mean they wont fill the need. I'm glad we have Roy Williams, but the truth is both he and Miles Austin are nicked up almost every yr. Crayton is dependable and durable, but after those 3 there's not much. Crayton is almost 30 too.

WR is definitely a concern.

Nicks and Robiskie are coming off the board before any of those Safeties are coming off IMO.

So it all depends on what we are willing to give up to go get them and then hoping a Safety run doesn't happen and we can't get back into the 2nd or wait until our 3rd round pick to get one.

That's the intrigue that makes me love the freaking draft so much.

Why does who we take have to mean anything? If a player we rate very highly drops down where it is cost effective to move up, we go for it no matter what position. The goal is to fill your roster with great players, not to draft the lesser player because it might mean something to somebody on the internet.

Just watched him on the replay of the skills challenge.

I hope he slips out of the 1st, but I think some team is going to jump all over him before 25. He has huge hands, and major upside. Goes up and just grabs the ball.

Simple and dead on accurate. It's about the value in this Draft.

There is a difference between catching the most passes and being the #1 receiver.

I see this offered uip everywhere. But what is missed is Witten makes his catch count off the receivers pulling the defense away.

The safety blanket label has a meaning here.

Not knocking Witten. But the idea he is number one or two ignores how he gets his stats.

Witten is my favorite player and im sorry but the WR bit is getting old! was Novachek a WR in the 90s or Cosbie? why all of a sudden when the Boys have problems finding a young WR, fans turn a to the Witten excuse?

ask yourslf if Witten is a WR who is the TE?

Sensabaugh is an upgrade from RW. I don't understand why so many feel it is necessary to grab the best safety in the draft. S position this year is pretty weak. Next year it'll be better. I think we'll draft a safety this year, it just wont be top talent. Taylor Mays next year?!

On the other hand, Nicks and Robiskie are future #1s. The may not be fast, but they are big, run good routes, fight for every yard, and are athletic.

Nicks reminds me a lot of Irvin.

I would be extatic if wwe got Nicks. When I saw him earlier in the year, I realized how awesome the man is.

I agree with the WR mentioned....like Robiskie a little more...but hope the Cowboys decide to spend more picks in the middle rounds on offensive lineman. We need younger and better OL to compete at a higher level.

Please get WR in second, and then focus on best OL available.

Nicks will be a better WR than both of those guys, especially Heyward-Bey.

Nicks has the best hands of any WR coming out this year, he can straight up ball.
