I remember this time last year, this place was bananas for us to go out and get Mankins. This year's free agent of choice is Nicks. Just curious, besides Nicks being 3 yrs younger, what are the other advantages over Logan? Who's the better OG, in your opinion?

Nicks is younger and just from watching the two of them play, and I'll admit I'm certainly no offensive line expert, Nicks seems to play better, and more consistently, and just plays as a better overall G.

I'd rather have nicks now just because of his connection with Callahan and I can see him having a great year proving that the saints made a mistake letting him go

Mankins had a poor day in the Superbowl. Looked confused and stiff when facing stunts-much like the guys we have now.

I think a lot of the Mankins hype was because he seemed so available and we were so desperate for a guard at the time. He and Nicks were wanted on the same level as fans, but Nicks has always been the better palyer.

I have a hunch Mankins was injured; the way he was playing said he had a back problem.

And before Mankins, the board was crazy over Steinbach (if my memory serves me correct). Until Jerry doles out big money for an interior Olineman, I'm just going to assume that Nicks and Grubbs will be a pipedream, which makes DeCastro a must in the draft.
