I think we as a fan base have gotten down on this team considering the Denver game and first half of Arizona game. I noticed the team fought and played really well in the 2nd half in Arizona. Perhaps we can carry over that effort tomorrow and get a TD in the first drive.

QB...Goff isn't the same QB from last season. He struggled but with new coach and not a rookie anymore he has shown to be able to play. It helps having some weapons now at receiver and TE. We need to pressure Goff and not allow him to get comfortable. I think he has been sacked only 3 times all season......

RB....Gurley was talking smack about whooping the Cowboys, last year Rob Kelly called us cowboys then we held him to like 8 yards. Hopefully we can do the same. Goff has liked throwing to Gurley this season and without Lee we need Jaylon keeping him in check and making good tackles.

WR/TE...Watkins, Woods, Kupp, Everett and Tavon is a very good group. I think they are banged up some but our corners and safeties need to play tight on these guys.

OL.....these guys have played well so far this season. Lawrence needs to continue making plays especially against this OL. They aren't the greatest but have only given up 3 sacks all year. Control the line and we win

DL......Quinn and Donald are the best in their line. Our guys have to be ready for Donald, they will move him around for matchups. While our OL hasn't been great this season I'm not worried about Frederick or Martin. The issue will be Green if he plays, if not i like Cooper better in this spot as he is much stronger then Green and can anchor down and not be moved.

LB.... Can't say much here as i believe the Rams went to a 3-4 this season. Beasley, Witten and Switzer should have a field day working the middle. I like the quickness and route running of our guys.

Secondary....I think Joyner is out or banged up. I would say Johnson will try to man up on Dez and if that happens Dez can have a big day. Can't sleep on these guys though as Johnson jumped a route and took it the other way for 6. Butler and Williams needs to stretch the field and help spread their defense out for Zeke to do his thing.

Keys to the game......control the line of scrimmage on both sides, offense and defense. If we do that we win this game.

Potential breakout players....
....Jourdan Lewis. By now everybody is getting on the Lewis bandwagon for his great play last week, i think he plays even better this week and has another pick.

....Demontre Moore. Last week was his first game back and this week i think he can break out if Lawrence and Maliek keep getting that pressure. He should benefit from 1 on 1.

....Zeke. He hasn't had that great game running the ball yet this season even though he went over 100 week 1 against the giants. This week i think he can have that breakout game and go for over 170.

....Switzer. I think he will get some snaps on offense but he will do most his damage in the return game. This is the week he takes one to the house. He helped give us great field advantage last week and looked like would break free for 7 at anytime.

Time to step up

.....Tyrone Crawford. He got a sack last week and had some pressures. I would like to see him step up even more and be consistent.

....Byron Jones. Some don't like Jones at all, I'm not 1 of them. I think he has played well especially in coverage but now it's time to start making game changing plays besides knocking down a pass. I want to see force fumble or a pick.

....Damien Wilson. Hasn't been bad but hasn't been good either. I like his speed sideline to sideline but we need up to step up and help Jaylon out especially if Lee is a no go.

.....Hanna and Swaim. Witten isn't that great blocker he was before (not terrible either). These guys need to step up not just in the passing game but blocking as well. They need to get open and reliable when the ball comes their way.

.....Dak. This one is difficult cause he played great last week and helped give us the momentum. I want to see him not just step up but take the next step forward. Time to put himself in the elite status and beat these teams that stack the box.

....Dez Bryant. I still think Dez is elite but he needs to step up and help our offense. There was a time that 2 corners covered him at the same time and he still beat them. I like the mindset last week but he needs more then 2 targets.

Prediction for the game.

Dallas wins 42-13

Eagles, Commanders and Giants all lose to put Dallas in sole possession of first place

To put it simply, Dallas rolls tomorrow. LAR should not be able to keep up. If we lose, then there are some serious problems that need to be addressed. This game should decipher the season to come.............

I expect a win and nothing less :flagwave:

If Lee doesn't play all eyes will be on Jaylon Smith. Maybe Dallas goes with Deacon scheme to compensate. Also, Chaz Green hip is sore and those DT's will physically push him to limit so don't be surprised to see Cooper finish this game.

Awesome write up. Zeke I feel is gonna have around 150 yds. They will get him going early. Dak should be over his opening 1st quarter slumps. I think he will have around 320 passing.

Boys will win by at least 20. I say 39-17.

I read we played alot of 2 lb's last game. I think Lee plays if its his decision gameday. Don't see him wanting to sit this out.

I honestly dont get all the optimism of a potential blowout......it will be a very close one either way imo......

Because Rams are bad vs the run, and our offense is getting back to normal, especially Dak. Zeke too. We have too many weapons on offense for them to cover. Swit, I am sure, will get more invovled in the offense along with Beasley on the field at the same time. Our DL will hit Goff.

I love the package with Switzer in the backfield. Used correctly can be a game changer

Our defense is getting better by the day. Not only that the rams receivers are banged up as goes for their defense too. While they have been good against the pass they struggle stopping the run. Plus they have played the Colts, Commanders and 49ers.......those aren't powerhouses and Commanders are the best team they faced which they lost. Add in the fact the game is in Dallas points to a double digit win.

If course anything can happen in any given Sunday but Dallas will dominate

New scheme and not the bodies to play it, they're going to get destroyed on the 2nd level, even if they actually remember their assignment.

Are they #1 in big plays given up? Too lazy to look but they're up there.

If our offense starts rolling I wouldn't be surprised to see the 3-2-6.

I hope like hell yall are right but I just dont see it.......

So you see their d limiting Zeke, hitting Dak, and covering all our weapons? A Rams team that gave up 39 points to the 49ers. Ano oh ya, 49ers couldn't run the ball (3.4 ypc), and their d couldn't hit Goff (zero sacks). But still put up 39 vs them...That's the team I saw and see playing us.

I think we play like last week.

Defensively..

we rush 3 a lot and drop 8 in the secondary again.

Until somebody really stops that..

they are going to have a tough road.

My prediction.

35-17.

Cowboys.

Game over by the early 4th qt.

Oh..and we jump 4 spots in the Power Rankings.

I don't see a big blow out but I do see us winning by 10 points. I think it's going to be similar to last week. We come out slow and then have a big 2nd half. I'm thinking a score of 30-20.

I think we can hold them to 20 points, despite our lack of secondary depth due to injury. Also believe we should hang about 27 on them or more if both Dak and Ezekiel have their normal games and perhaps we'll hang more on 'em if our dynamic duo and the OL bring their "A" games. The Rams have improved considerably this year, so I'm not really anticipating a blowout, although I'd surely welcome one.

Rams have an impressive offense. I expect a high scoring shootout - which reminds me I should bet the over (it's at 48.5.)

I'm looking forward to the Aaron Donald match-up. Martin, Frederick and Cooper have their hands full.

I'm curious to see how the offense does against Wade and how much Garrett is able to take advantage of knowing Wade's style inside and out. Or vice-versa....

Cowboys win 31-24

Hopefully Linehan learned something last week and comes out with the wide-open game plan these guys don't have the skill or Personnel to cover the entire field.
If he does that we'll blow these guys out.

I can never bring myself to bet on the Cowboys games. I just don't feel like I can do it with a cleareyeview.

Goff to his core is still equivalent to Claiborne in the wonderlic dept, so if you take most of his options away and he has to think advantage Dallas.
I worry about Donald and Coach Phillips more than anything else.
Jaylon Smith is not ready to be the QB of the defense if that happens we are going to struggle. I am glad Jaylon can play but when healthy and before his tibial fracture Hitchens was an upgrade over Jaylon.
Jordan Lewis still a rookie you know what that means for a CB.
La'el Collins should get a bit of a break from the last three weeks of DE's expect some improvement on that right side if not than we need to scheme extra on that side for protection.
Witten jumped off the blocking wagon a couple of years ago any blocks he makes are a bonus at this point in his career, still love his route and catching ability, not the blocking liability.
HC Sean McVay knows the Cowboys team very intimately from his time in the NFC east.
DeMarcus Lawrence is getting all the praise but his play is determined by what Maliek Collins provides on the defensive line and how the Oline play him. Collins demands double teaming leaving Demarcus Lawrence the chance for one on one confrontations which he has the skill set to dominate. Watch Collins he is a monster these days now that he is one year removed from that broken foot. If David Irving moves inside when he returns and continues with his domination from last year we are going to stress lots of pass protection.
Our pass routes the first three weeks are not providing advantages for our offense consistently, Beasley is non existent anymore and Dez is mostly a decoy. I am not sure why unless we are just stubborn about our offensive scheme. Rub and Bunch routes can be our friend.
I hope not to see Dak running in for too many more TD's like he did last week that flip into the endzone could of been worrisome if he landed incorrectly.
Hoping the offense returns to it role as 12 man on defense this week...
