Another poster just pointed out that the Chargers are tanking as well. If that continues, Norv Turner might be out there at the end of this season. Norv Turner. Jerry's number two option after Wade Phillips years ago.

I was on board with replacing Wade with Garrett mid-season, but it almost seems too perfect a scenario for the unthinkable to happen. Garrett also fails and Norv Turner becomes the coach of the Dallas Cowboys in 2011.

Jerry must go outside and hire an interim coach. He must do it now while his emotions are strong. He must do it to save us from Jerry Jones. Cowher, Billick, whatever. If he waits until the end of the season, he will not be able to help himself because Norv will also allow Jerry to be comfortable in meddling (heck, Wade's staff actually needs Jerry's meddling).

Jerry has to get rid of Garrett if Garrett is not the head coach. You can't have a new head coach and tell that head coach we are keeping the same offensive coordinator we had before. The new head coach needs to bring in HIS staff. That is the current problem we have where the coordinator was setup before the head coach was named. Can't make that same mistake again.

I said Jerry would bring in a Garrett friend HEAD COACH like Capers.

That's Jerry's MO. Post Parcells you couldn't hire a Parcells guy like Peyton, Haley or Sparano. He had to go get his guy and he's going to ride that horse until he is proven wrong. My opinion.....he'll continue to groom up Garrett as HC by bringing in a Garrett friendly HC.

I'm not saying that's the right thing to do, I just thinks that's what Jerry's ego will ultimately end up doing.

Capers has done an amazing job with GB's D and they actually get takeaways.

The Garrett problem has deep roots. JERRY hired Garrett and did not let Wade bring in his own OC. Garrett isn't even a very good OC. What has he done to be HC ready? Nothing.

I would really love to know and I seriously have not taken the time to read any interviews regarding this.. why Jerry is so high on Garrett.

He called a nice game last week I thought; and then I see the Giants went in there and killed the Texans so maybe now I'm thinking the Texans just aren't very good on defense and most teams should be able to score easily on them.

And oh yea. Capers was horrible with the Texans and looked as clueless as Wade most of the time. He would be a horrible choice.

Only if someone who demands accountability for stupidity is over him as the coach. These players have been given a free pass for too long at this point.

ok I see your point. To me Dom is just like Wade. A DC. He has no business being a HC anymore. That ship has sailed.
