I was listening to the local sports radio and they were talking about the Raiders could offer Dez a long term contract since he has not signed his franchise tag yet. They could do the any time during the draft. They went on to say the Cowboys will get two 1st rounders in 2016 and 2017 respectively. I know that this has been mentioned before and there is no way Jerry would let him go. They were asked what the chances of the Raiders doing this and they said slim but if the wrs they like are gone it would be very enticing since they have the money. My 2 cents, this is a far fetched dream by Raiders fans and sports pundits to get a talented wr of Dez caliber.

Won't happen because Dez won't do it, he wants to be a cowboy for life and we are in Super Bowl territory. If Dez would seriously sign on to be a Raider then I'll gladly take those two top 10 picks in 2016 and 2017 and Dez can rot in Oakland like Randy Moss did.

I'd be bummed but Dez is too athletic to rot and they have a decent qb just starting to show flashes..

I don't think they would win more than 8 games unless other pieces more, like chunks started to fall for them..

Dez is going to get paid...

I'm under the impression that an offer sheet has to be submitted at least 7 days before the draft because draft picks are compensation. This is so the team that owns a player's rights has their 7 days to match. However, a restricted player who wasn't drafted and wasn't tendered could be signed because there are no picks that would be transferred.

But maybe this is the prior CBA.

So if that's the case, this year we'd get the Raiders pick at 4 and likely land one of Leonard Williams or Dante Fowler....then probably take one of the top WRs at 27..... then QB Conner Cook with the Raider's 2016 pick.....and use our 2016 rd 2 pick to get for AP this year.......hmmmm that doesn't sound too terrible actually

I would take both Raiders first round picks, select Amari Cooper and then laugh.

It would likely happen after the draft, but yes my understanding is that if a team signs a franchise player to a deal after the draft, then the picks are from the following 2 years.

If the Cowboy were worried about it, they could have given him the exclusive tag for about 1M more. That would prevent any team from trying to sign him.

The agent for Dez would likely give the Cowboys the option to match before they signed the offer. No WR in their right mind would want to go to the Raiders over the Cowboys.
