It was more than a miracle that won that game. It was basically won via great defense, and then those two miracle passes. The Vikings were supposed to destroy us, but our defense held them to only 1 TD from a full-field drive. The other TD was from an ultra-short field due to a special teams gaff. The defense also held them to a field goal attempt, which the Vikings missed from about 45 yards if I remember right, which was a long field goal back then. Then on the last Vikes drive before the Hail Mary, the Vikings had a third down and just needed to get a first to put the game away, and our defense sacked Tarkenton.

In short, the Cowboys great defensive effort kept the game close. They knew if they could just get the ball back to Roger, we could win. And, man, did he ever deliver. I hear what you're saying. We can't depend on a miracle happening, but I do think if the defense can keep the game close, we have a chance.

I agree. This team is not the team that chokes against better opponents like we did the last 3 years. We score no matter who we play.

I notice this because I used to be a heavy gambler back in the mid 80s to mid 90s. Now I just do small time bets with friends.

Back then I took HFA into consideration with every bet. Many times betting solely due to HFA. Today I don't even consider it. I'm sure it still has some impact. But not like it used to.

Totally agree! It's definitely built into the lines too. HFA has minimal impact these days!

Not suprising for all the other Cowboy opponents they have faced to complete the season, with the exception of the Vikings.

Don’t get me wrong I think they have very good talent but I think we edge them out.
Qb- Boys
RB-Niners
OL- slight edge to the Cowboys
TE- Niners
Wr- slight edge to Niners only because of Debo who is a beast but one can put him at RB
DL- Niners, Dlawrence needs to step it up
LB- Cowboys
CB- slight edge to the Cowboys
Safeties- Cowboys although Ward is a good one
Special teams- Niners after tonight performance by Maher

When I was in the military. A guy in my troops parents were professional gamblers. They always win against the points for the majority.

I will say it once and I will say it again. The Giants are going to knock out the Shegals and we will beat the 49ers. I honestly believe both road teams are better teams in my opinion. The road to the SuperBowl will go through AT&T!!
