Niners vs Panthers

Looks like the inevitable is going to happen. SF @ Seattle. I haven't figured out which team I dislike more.

Two great teams. I'm as HUGE OF A COWBOYS HOMER as anyone. But I recognize good football. You can't argue that.

First off, teams win playoff games, not QBs. Your line about how "when Kaep needs to make a play, he does, and Romo never does" is so far off base and detached from reality it's not even funny. Since Romos been a starter he has engineered almost the highest number of comeback/game winning drives during that time.

If your hero Kaep played on a team with the 32nd ranked defense he wouldn't be in the post season either.

Hahaha. I love these convoluted stats and scenarios. You know what else Romo leads the league in? Interceptions in the final 3 minutes with the game on the line.

His QBR when the last 3 minutes is 44. That's pathetic. He has something like 7 picks in the last 3 minutes as well. It's hard to even keep up with how many of his picks seal games.

Sorry but this is a QB driven league. Romo just is not clutch.

But I love to keep hearing how great he is and how lucky we are to have him and talk down on a QB who is 4-1 in the playoffs and going to a 2nd straight NFC championship game while Romo watches the playoff on the couch for the 4th time in the last 5 years.

But yes, he's better.

Cant stand Kaep. Hes so cocky. Im going for Seattle all the way.

If you lived in Washington and heard nothing but how much Seattle is better than the Cowboys you wouldn't feel that way. These guys up here get as happy when the Cowboys lose, as they do when the Hawks win. At least 49er fans are smarter than that!!

Remember when the NFC west was a terrible division?

You mean, pretty much for all of history?

They've pretty much always had one good/great team, but rarely two and certainly not the entire division (very rarely anyway).

Didn't like the type of QB sneak Newton attempted on the Panthers 4th and goal situation. With his height he should have tried to jump over the top and reach the ball over instead of ducking his head to try and push his way in.

Wow that sucks. Especially since its true. Nothing you can do but hope they lose.

You're funny.

Sometimes I wonder how people here are Cowboys fans and the bashing of Romo. Can you imagine what it would feel like if we had a defense that held the opponent to 10 points in the playoffs? Only ask your QB to throw 25-28 times a game. How can people here be so blind?

It's actually only 1 playoff appearance in the last 6 seasons.

But what will we ever do when Romo's gone!!!!? Who's gonna lead us to no postseason every year!!!?

I can't wait until we find the next QB who is going to take us to the SB with a defense that goes entire games without forcing a punt.

Carolina Panthers are 0-4 (might be 0-5) when their defense gives up over 20 points, that right there shows how 'great' their QB is, great supporting cast though.

It's not even worth arguing with them it's so ridiculous.

Fans want to win. If you ask me, Romo has set this franchise back by being good enough to make a 2-14 team finish 8-8 every year. Bad teams get high draft picks and rebuild. That's why the NFC West is so good. The Cowboys, even the Chargers and Saints, have had awful seasons lately but finished 8-8 because of their QBs. I'd rather finish 0-16 four straight years instead of barely miss the playoffs. Of course 0-16 teams are irrelevant and Jerry prides himself on remaining relevant. I just have so little faith in the future of this team that it's depressing to be a fan.

What do you think Jerry would do with such high draft picks? Would he hit on all of them? It isn't just the first round picks that make a team. You have to hit on picks from every round to build a team. You don't need to have a bad record to do that. The Pats haven't been finishing with a terrible record and are able to keep getting to the playoffs.

Lots and lots of win in this post

Bellichick and Brady help.

I know it's not just high picks. But awful seasons would force Jerry to drastically change his ways and fire the ginger.
