When asked by a fan if he really thought Braun never used performance enhancing drugs, Rodgers responded with even stronger support:

Just browsed an article and it looks like he was cleared because he found out that his sample wasn't handled in the outlined fashion, thereby bringing into all sorts of questions as to what happened during a 44 hour delay in shipping.

Pretty lucky really. Some slacker lets the sample marinate instead of shipping it and he gets off despite a positive result.

I agree. I think this begs the obvious question....what are the *odds* that a sample going in the fridge would result in a positive drug test?

If the odds are quite possible, then Rodgers has a point. If it's a complete longshot, then he got off on a technicality. And given MLB's past with steroids, it makes you question their credibility here.

No steroids in the sample anyway.
It did show slightly elevated testosterone. A retest showed it to be normal, as it had been the last 25 tests.
The dude gets tested all the time and has never shown a sniff of anything....and he seemed awfully sure that he was innocent.

I side with him on this one.

It was synthetic testosterone. Synthetic means it was made in a lab, not natural.

He was extremely lucky that courier messed up. MLB is pissed off about the ruling and are planning to appeal it. Could get messy.

I would have to think that the tests the MLB do are pretty accurate and are rarely false positives.

It was reported that Bruan's testosterone level was 3 times higher than any other tested subject.

The courier's mishandling of the samples is absolutely inexcusable for drug testing.

Yep. He did it, no doubt.

And Rodgers looks like a total fool with his tweets on the topic.

Yeah, his whole "I'd be my paycheck" BS is just ridiculous.

Like anyone could ever prove one way or the other to a valid enough extent for Rodgers to pay up.
