I’m the first to admit and eat crow that I thought we should’ve re signed RG. I’m glad to see that DA and others have stepped up.

But mannnnnn…me and others were screaming to sign Z Smith as a replacement. Dude is balking out and is making a push to be an all pro.

Could you imagine him opposite of Tank and having Parsons mixed in? Our pass rush would’ve gone from elite to elite++.

Hard to argue with Smith. Fowler has been very good, but Smith would have been a guy that can stay on the field and dominate

Ill add another for some flavor. JuJu. He found his groove in KC and is on track for 95,1,200 on about 10 million this year. Going deep into the season, JuJu, Lamb and Gallup would have been a pretty compelling WR corp. Especially if we look the feature the run, JuJu would have been a good guy to have to convert those 3rd and shorts

Not sign g Wagner was the one I’m disappointed about. He could be leading by example for Parsons and the young off-ball linebacker while fixing the biggest issue we have with run defense.

I haven’t really been watching, I’ve only got time for the Cowboys at the moment but I saw him ranked the no.1 LB this year so far.

Juju would have been an interesting guy to bet on. The book on him was injured + unproductive, but the unproductive part IMO was easy to explain by Big Ben falling apart and the emergence of Diontae Johnson in a similar role.

He signed for a 1 year incentive laden deal in FA... if we were looking at former Steeler WRs, I'd much rather have signed him than James Washington. Washington also deserves a second chance away from the same crappy washed-QB situation, but the talent level he's put on tape so far isn't close. His best year yardage-wise is like Juju's worst year.

I think he is the top ranked LB against the run. That is my biggest FA regret as well.

What is worse. Paying Jaylon Smith more money than Wagner to not play for the Cowboys.

I agree with OP, Za'Darius Smith would have been a huge upgrade for this team. I love his play back with the Ravens. I don't know if he was an option due to Cowboys thinking they were signing Gregory though.

Von Miller is my second choice

Hard to say individually outside of traditional stats( which never mean much), but he has been putting good tackle numbers on a strong defense. The couple times I watched them, he didn't jump off the screen, but it seems he has been effective

Von makes more sense to Buffalo than us IMO. For what he cost, he is very much a "go for it now at the cost of a likely albatross contract figure in the future". As close as Buffalo is, that makes sense. I dont think we are that close. An although we did look weak at pass rusher at the time, that hasnt been our issue this year.

Ive watched the Bills all year being local. Miller has been a real difference maker for them. That was a great move for them. He is really helping Rousseau break out
