You can see it in the route running and on contested catches. The Cowboys receivers do not attack the football. Amari Cooper was a guy who would use his body and make aggressive moves to the football in play. Should have kept that guy.
Agree, trading him for basically nothing and signing Gallup was an idiotic move. Complete stupidity…….him as 1 and lamb as 1a would be MUCH better for us right now.

How can you attack something you have to adjust to. When are we going to call a spade a spade. Either Dak is consistently late with throws, or he is just flat out inaccurate.
what it matter when the ball is behind them or over their head
Yes, that is also an issue, but this is not a Dak thread. I am bored with that topic.

The Receivers offer little in the way of resistance on contested balls and their route running is not always convincing to defenders.

Yeah it's all of what you said, he doesn't even attempt passes like those from the OP can't make up stuff

We don't attack the sidelines or down the field so how can you attack the ball in the air?

The Niners were in press cover 3 most of the game and we didn't throw one back shoulder fade or take a shot to Lamb the entire game.

It is very noticeable at times the Cowboys Receivers do not adjust their routes to cut off a pressing DB undercutting their route and they are inadequate at coming back for the ball in flight.

What sucks is to see college QB’S make that throw. Penix's accuracy really highlights Dak's shortcomings, he just doesn't have IT.

It's not the only issue, but it is part of the problem. No alpha dogs at WR.
you know the drill bloods in the water if your not attacking Dak then you must be dumb...reasonable thinking need not apply here.. there can only be 1 reason we lost by 30 points...

Yea, it's not a concern of mine to break through the numbskulls.

If you plugged in a Mahomes, Tua, or Herbert we're probably not talking about "no alpha dogs at WR".
Great. Easy. Just get a top 5 QB. So many of them to go around, too.

Cooper could not take on the better coverage CBs.

That's why it was important to have options at WR, such as Lamb, Gallup when Coop disappeared.

Gallup was the best/most physical, jump ball/alley-hoop, get up and attack the ball in goal line/red zone.

I agree that complimentary Receivers are critical for a successful passing game. All the Cowboys Receivers are complimentary players. Receivers like Cooper, Brown, Jefferson, etc. have the ability to take over a game and consistently make the tough catches.

Disagree with Cooper.

I think he can only take over a game only IF he is not being covered and isolated vs an elite, or better coverage CBs. Otherwise he becomes a disappearing act.

I really believe if positioned and schemed, Lamb can also be named in that better featured WRs in NFL mix.
His game has always reminded me of Chargers' Keenan Allen when he was in his prime dayz.
