You can see it in the route running and on contested catches. The Cowboys receivers do not attack the football. Amari Cooper was a guy who would use his body and make aggressive moves to the football in play. Should have kept that guy.
A Michael Irvin would help tremendously right now.

Except in away games where he would routinely disappear.

what it matter when the ball is behind them or over their head
I guess you didn't watch Dez catch all kind of balls when Romo used to just chuck the ball near Dez.

Disagree with Cooper.

I think he can only take over a game only IF he is not being covered and isolated vs an elite, or better coverage CBs. Otherwise he becomes a disappearing act.

I really believe if positioned and schemed, Lamb can also be named in that better featured WRs in NFL mix.
His game has always reminded me of Chargers' Keenan Allen when he was in his prime dayz.
I believe its the scheme also. CB's are stuck to our WR's like glue. It's like they are in our huddle lol

When he was Kellen Moore schemed, Lamb seemed a lot more comfortable and in synch with QB and play caller.

It's scheme designs and ways you can help your WRs out.
Bunch formation, rub routes, no huddle, pre-snap and moving formations, ... we don't seem to doing none of that !

There's a reason Dallas doesn't throw back shoulder fades...that ability left with Romo.
And Romo was not very good with fades , this coming from a Romo fan, so what does that say about current state of affairs?

Dak doesn’t like Alpha dogs.

He likes route runners who can separate 5 yards from the DB.
This , Dak wants to see visible separation before throwing which is impractical as that gives time for Dbs to catch up, Also his luck when lets the ball go with some anticipation the receiver and he are inot in the same page . LOL

Bingo whoever Aikman let the ball go I expected a completion and that was on timing routes

I remember Novacheck asking him why did you throw that pass to me when you were being sacked

Answer I knew you would still get to “ the spot” to make the catch

The following are all true:

Amari Cooper is a very good WR
Amari Cooper disappeared often in games especially on the road.
Amari Cooper has a non-chalance that lends to a strange locker room presence.
Amari Cooper should have landed more than a 6th Rd pick in trade.
The Cowboys finished 12-5 sans Cooper.
Noone should really care about Amari's performance elsewhere @ this point.

Dak missed Amari being open plenty to, it's not all on Amari, I blame more Dak for letting him go and he was exactly what this team needs. Ball hawking is nice, but I would love to see separation, I do believe some of it is to blame on the play calling, but some teams cause separation on almost a play by play basis, it takes 3 plays generally to see someone way open for the Cowboys. I'm betting were bottom 10 in terms of separation, wish someone could pull that up.
