The more games you play, the more opportunities you have to lose. I would have thought that was obvious.

If We win out, Arizona beats greenbay, and minnesota loses out then arizona gets the two seed. This is the best scenario because it gives us minnesota in dallas and greenbay would play philli.

The last 4 Super Bowl Champions played on wildcard weekend and 1 of them (NYG) went through the Cowboys while we had a bye. Not the dumbest thread ever.

Except that last year's Superbowl Champs didn't.

We shouldn't be worrying about bye weeks. We should worry about the Eagles. If things play out the way we want them to (minn and az losing) then good otherwise lets not get to ahead of ourselves. All I want is a win next week to host AT LEAST one home game and hopefully fill up our new stadium 100,000+ like we did the first game (i was there :) 0

Coach Phillips is that you?

I must admit that I don't think Phillips is far off on this one.

Winning in the wildcard round and placing yourself as the No. 1 or 2 seed get you into the second round of the playoffs all the same.

If a=3 and b=3, then a=b, no?

I would love nothing more than a bye. 1 reason you do get a chance to get players closer to 100% at this stage a lot of guys are playing with the bumps, bruises and pulls and strains. 2nd and to me even more important is the simple math to make it to the SB and that is winning 2 games is better than having to win 3 games.

Essentially we get a "bye " week after Thanksgiving day games......winning percentage is very good over the 20 year period......

Take a bye, take a NFC east title, take the home game---take it all, gotta be greedy.......

no virtue in looseing.....anywhere, anytime

I do not want our momentum slowing down, go vikings tonight.

You can't be serious. At this time of the year so many guys are playing with bruised bodies. A bye would be spectacular.

There is no excuse...

Bye or not we better win. I have confidence that this team will go far this year no matter if they get the bye or not.

You should know by now that what makes sense to the majority only puzzles the minority.....

That being said, let's go Cowboys, GB and (pewk) Ggirls.

Hope we can get a bye. This team is playing with alot of confidence right now, I don't think losing momentum will be an issue.

But if we do get a bye do you think Wade needs to confiscate Romo and Witten's passports...LOL!!!

As soon as we wrap up our first playoff win, we will become un-stoppable. Therefore, it might not be too bad if we do not get a bye. The last thing we need is to sit around for two weeks and have to get up and play a highly motivated eagles/packers coming off a win (AKA giants in 2007).

Well many teams over the years who had the bye have won. 2 games is what you need to win if you have the bye 3 wins is what you need if you are forced to play wildcard weekend. Easy math 2 game is a bit easier then winning 3 when facing top teams. Of course there are exceptions to any rule but odds still are better for teams only needing 2 wins than those who need 3

It's kinda scary to see how many posters don't want a free win and/or week off. 6 weeks ago we were firing Wade Phillips and not even going to the playoffs.....now, we are in the playoffs and we want to play as many games as possible to get to the Super Bowl??????.......gimme the freebie - no brainer.

No kidding, if you are able to earn that bye that is good thing. No guarantees you will get to the SB but you do increase your odds. It does not take a genius to figure that out.
