Yep, that's what they called.stealth said:I think you can't line up directly in front of the long snapper
It should make it easier to find deep snappers I'd think.Cowboy from New York said:SIRIUS radio did a show about this one time in the offseason when it became a rule change. Basically, the deep snapper has to look through his legs the entire time and every opposing teams strategy is just to basically kill the guy and rattle him into a mistake. So alot of those guys get serious long term injuries. It was designed to prevent this. I like smash em up football as much as the next guy, in fact I think the QBs are too protected and would like to see their protections scaled back but I don't see how the deep snapper rule could fundamentally change the game to I don't see it as a bad thing.

Do you remember that CBZ?
Cbz40 said:We would hollar: "No Dunkin the center"
LeonDixson said:What? Didja play football in the pond on the south 40?
Cbz40 said:No!!! That was the term we used....I remember the field we used was full goatheads (stickers)...Dang they hurt.
It's a pretty easy penalty to avoid, though. It's not like it's a "heat of the moment" penalty like a hold or a facemask or a pass interferance. Just don't line up over the center and you should be fine.bobtheflob said:Sucks that it's an automatic first down though. It gave Denver 4 more points in this game, I could see it determining the outcome of a game sometime this season.

Our field was full of fire ants.
YOu got bit by them you knew it!
Yeah? Well we had star thistles, and ants and the field was uphill in both directions!!:Cajuncowboy said:Sissy! :

And rocks. I forgot the rocks.
Cbz40 said:Been there done that.....no thank you.
Cajuncowboy said:Yeah, well, played in Yucca Flats and there were unexploded munissions and if you stepped wrong, you had the ultimate penalty. AND it was uphill in both directions. Not to mention the fire ants.
