We look like we don't even want to do either of those two...this is sad. I'm almost embarrassed to watch this crap! FIRE JG..HE runs the offense. How can some of y'all even think about promoting that ignorant carrot top?!
Sorry I'm ranting but...WOW. Didn't see this coming.

We'd have success if we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties, fumbles and fluke INTs. It's not rocket science.

Are you suggesting, sir, that Jason Garrett may be an unfit offensive coordinator? Because this is the first I've heard of it.

Indeed I am...proof is in the pudding. If he can't keep the defense honest, he's useless..(I realize your reply may have been sarcasm but..I had to get that out, though!lol)

I kind of agree. You must realize though that this is not all on Jason Garrett.

How can you have a 5-7 step drop and go for deep balls when your 5-man offensive line can't handle a 4-man rush?

How can you run the ball effectively when your line is getting blown backwards and the defensive players are effectively penetrating their gaps?

Some of the play calling has been outlandish, but the blame is not 100% his, however he should take it all because that's the responsibility of the offensive coordinator.

It could be that every time we plan to throw it deep, there is a presnap penalty. Or maybe Romo has to audible out of it because of something he sees. It's hard to say why we haven't gone deep much.

OUr passing game as far as how far down field we've been throwing is the LEAST of the offensive problems right now.

I wouldn't even classify it as a problem.

I thought the Bears kept their safeties lined up deep to prevent the deep pass. This also opened up the intermediate ball to the sideline, which Dallas hit several times during the game.

It IS a problem because we haven't shown the ability to get down field further than 15 yards. Opposing def. coordinators are being thrown a no brainer every down...
I consider this a big problem.

If you want the team to adjust to the line, the offense will be very predictable, and frankly quite pedestrian.

Smoke passes, short crossing patterns, and curls.
The rushing attack will have a package of 5 plays.

If your team, plays that way, they will have zero chance of getting into the playoffs.

I agree with the OP on this....I do wish we'd stretch the field vertically.

How do you guys not realize that it's not an option if the line is getting pushed around ?

Every NFL team wants to throw bombs on teams all day long, it would make the job a lot easier.

Smoke passes, screens, draws, and such are a regular part of the offense when the line is not capable of holding up to set up the long ball. If you keep Witten in to block that is an option, but he is one of the players with a great set of hands. He can block and release, but that is the mid range variety that you guys are talking about unless he breaks it.

It's a mystery. But we don't let it get in the way of a rant at our OC. It's what we do best as Cowboy fans.

First off, I agree we have o-line probs but I'm not suggesting we throw "bombs on teams all day long". I'm saying a bomb here...a bomb there to the fast as lightning Miles or Dez wouldn't hurt. Such talent and speed at the wide-out position being handcuffed by no ba11s from the O.C to take some chances...what a shame.
Here's a thought..trash that ******** wildcat crap that never amounts to nothing and throw the darn ball!!

I didn't see the O-Line have many problems in the last game in pass protection. Romo looked like he had a lot more time than usual but still no deep stuff.

No flea flickers.

Wild cat sucks.

1st down: Incomplete pass
2nd down: Penalty or running play stuffed for loss or no gain.
3rd down: Fail to convert
4th down: Punt or missed FG

.........and so ends another 10 play plus Dallas Cowboys drive.

This offense doesn't take a lot of shots deep down the sideline. I've never understood why.

Have you watched the first two games at all?
