No doubt about it: We need a blue-chip receiver. And possibly another in the draft

From the eipicenter of all things good, true and vaguely genius,
Air Cowboys America from Farmers Branch, where plunging property values beckon you to cash in. Next up, Lem's Swap Meet and Pauline the Happy Organist.

:starspin :starspin :starspin :starspin :starspin

The reality of our wide receiving corp is we have one Blue-Chipper in T.O.
Glenn is out of gas.
Next in line is ... uh-oh! Crayton.
Sure, Witten wears a Cowboy uniform and provides another receiving outlet.

But, at the very least, the Cowboys need a blue-chip receiver to replace Glenn. That should come from FA, a Roy Williams-like player who can step in right away and divert as well as he can catch.

It just makes sense that Jerra should and will go after Roy Williams who undoubtedly wants to wear the star.
Imagine Romo having T.O., Witten, Williams to fling that rock to.

But at what cost?

Roy Williams can be had for the 28th.:)

If Terry Glenn would be willing to amputate his legs and get some o' them springy sprinting stilts I'd welcome him back with open arms.

Roy can be had for a lot less than the 28th pick. Remember Moss was had for a 4th rounder

You can't compare the two.

If I'm the cowboys, I'd offer the 2nd round pick. Reason being we would still have to(or any other team) sign RW to an expensive extention instead of drafting a WR in the second and paying him a lot less. You can also use the injury issue w/ Detroit as well I want to keep our 2 1st and possibly trade the 28th for picks. I'm hoping that a QB drops and ALT gives us their 2 2nds. Then I would go CB, Speed WR and RB

If I'm so pretty, why am I available?

I wouldn't offer a #1 for Wialliams either. #1s are like gold come draft time.

Or transplant Glenn's hands on to Crayton's body ;)

After the Giants game yea...but normally I'd say put Terry Glenn's quickness with Crayton's hands.

If you can get a healthy Roy Williams he is worth a first rounder. You should do that in a heartbeat. I would offer the second but if it took a first you do it. Provided his ankle injury is not serious.

You won't have to give a one. Moss went for a 4 and he's a better WR than Roy is. Roy should be available for a two, cause he lacks the field problems that Moss displayed (for the most part) that allowed the Pats to get him so cheap. I seriously doubt you'd have to give a 1 for Roy.

My bad.
Air Cowboy America in no way advocates our No. 1 or second first-rounder for Roy Williams.
I mean, get real.:D
We build our future with the draft. We plug holes with FA.
