No Gumbel tonight for NFLN Texans-Broncos game

The entire neighborhood is headed over to our house tonight for Broncos-Texans since I'm the only one who has the NFL Network. And in case you missed it, there's been a major lineup change.

Play-by-play announcer Bryant Gumbel is sitting out tonight's game with a sore throat he suffered because of damp conditions inside HBO's "Real Sports" studios. Filling in will be Tom Hammond, who knows what a bad team looks like.

My left middle finger is sore from trying to make the broken "e" work on my keyboard. You guys mind if I take the rest of the day off?

so i guess while watching tonight we won't hear that Denver has signed a new QB named Chris Cutler, or Houston will have a QB named Roger Rosenfauls.

(i am assuming he just looks at the last name of the QB and comes up with a first name beginning with the same letter, a la Rick Romo)

glad Gum-Ball wont be doing the game, but Tom Hammond isnt going to be very compelling either..I'd rather them have went and got Summerall than Hammond

Man I wish everyone had NFLN for the simple fact they could tune in and realize that Emmitt is not the worst on television. He does do a pretty bad job there is no defending that, but he's still the best ever on the field and the dancefloor lol.

Gumball is TERRIBLE though I cant even listen to this man talk. I remember he called julius "thomas" atleast twice. And after a nice return by Austin he said something along the lines of "Miles Austin sets up very nice field position for the packers offense"

He should get sick more often.
