We go through this every year, and finally it seems like the national media is catching up.

Why on earth do we not utilize no-huddle during the beginning part of the game? I saw Eli Manning use it, I saw Stafford use it, I saw Rodgers use it, I saw Tom Brady use it. They all used it early, like in the first quarter. It’s football 101, and it tires out the defense and keeps them on their toes.

Logic tells you this makes it easier for your young QB because he can see the defense and they can’t make any substitutions. The coaches can also talk to the QB until 15 seconds on the play clock- why on earth have we not utilized this when a bunch of other teams have?

That’s one. The second is this— and this is a pet peeve.

I thought Deonte Thompson played okay. No issues with the guy. My question is if you just cut him six days ago, why is he playing over everyone else and why is he playing a bunch???? I don’t get it. Most teams 6th receiver doesn’t even get on the field, but ours starts (I think he did) and plays the whole game....

since his rookie season,Dak looks better in the no-huddle.
vs carolina...it was in the no-huddle that they finally started doing something on offense.
they should use it much more.
I hope they open the game sun night in the no-huddle.

I agree that it’s worth doing more. But expectations need to be tempered: when uptempo has found success, how often has it been that the opposing defense is protecting a sizable lead by playing conservative and keeping things in front of them?

The no-huddle is a double edged sword. If you don't successfully put drives together (and I see little reason for confidence that our offense would), you're putting your defense in a tough spot by them being on the field a lot.

It is the cowboys led by JG !
They play basic fundamental football and they fight lol thats it.
Now why Deonte played more, I have no idea.

Sounds like someone wants to interfere with the process...

I was with you bro until the Stafford mention

I got booted to the Dolphins 7 hour game during that stretch. Was the defense in prevent?

I'm usually for trying the no-huddle more often, but it also requires a well prepared team, which is questionable for this team. I do remember watching Romo use it to great effect to jump start our stagnant offense in years past. Honestly, I think Romo always looked better in the no huddle, because he was able to take control of our offense and bypass Garrett's horrible play calling.

When your qb can't hit the broad side of a barn, no huddle makes the 3 and outs twice as fast which quickly gasses your defense leading to big plays from your opponent.
