No hype for Christian Watson?

Plenty of hype for him now. I've seen him going early 20s and Green Bay is an especially good landing spot for him.

I’ve hyped him up big time on the eagles board, check this out:

Faster 10 and 20 yard split than Tyreek Hill or John Ross

Id have to guess Megatron is #1

With the Cowboys bringing in 1st round WR targets, could Watson be going under the radar?

6’4 208 with 4.38 speed and 38.5” vert.

It’s actually going under the radar how much of a freak athlete Watson is. His measurables line up with the elite of elite WR’s.

Obviously combine workouts aren’t everything…
43 catches for 800 yards and 7 TD’s this year. For reference North Dakota St only threw the ball 255 times last year…450+ attempts is normal for most power 5 conference teams.

Watson also blew up the day Senior Bowl playing against D1 talent. Winning “WR of the week” for his team

Other than level of competition in college…I’m not sure what’s not to like about Watson.

Could see him being a Frederick move if they favor WR and get wiped of Burks/Olave. Although I could also see him on the radar at #24. I dont think that position is too high for him

You stating your opinion over and over doesn’t make it a fact. Show me a reliable source that has Christian Watson projected as a 3rd round pick.
I would be beyond shocked if he lasted to the 3rd round. I think there’s a pretty good chance that he goes in the late 1st.

Teams are going to have him rated rather highly, I think.

I looked at about 20 WRs and it might be Watson.

He’s faster through 10 and 20 yards than DJax, DK, Brandin Cooks, Randy Moss
Could also be rando small school guy we have never heard off too. ( Exp:I believe Miles Austin was clocked in the 4.2's at his Pro Day at Bunker Hill or wherever he went)

I do remember GT pumped out a few big time height/weight/speed guys after Johnson, but they were all still below his threshold

Miles RAS score was 9.64

Im very curious to see what kind of impact the WR market being drastically reset with crazy $ has on the draft. Will teams pick WR’s higher because the cheap 5 year contract will have even more value?

It might have the opposite effect. First round contracts cost more than 2nd rounders. A 5th year option isn't cheap either. It's only getting more expensive with these huge contracts.

Either way, I got this guy going early to mid 2nd by the big board I'm looking at.

Fast, but his production wasn’t where you would expect with all that athleticism. Maybe because NDSt was loaded and didn’t make him a priority, but I’m not comfortable with him until later.

Can’t catch what isn’t thrown…ND St only completed 158 passes as a team least year. Their 2nd leading WR had 20 catches for 284 yards.

also just noticed he had a 12% drop percentage…

Interesting. How does that compare to the other top WR’s? Can’t seem to find that stat anywhere.

And not to try and make excuses, but I would imagine volume has to play into that. If 12% is for last year that’s 5 drops I think? Obviously not a good thing, but I’d be curious to see those 5 drops as NDSt tape isnt easy to find

Yeah, the reason we’re dominating the FCS is because we’re an old school run-run-and-run-some-more offense. It’s part of why we’ve had 2 top 5 QBs in the draft recently, because to shine in an offense like that is a pretty big deal.

0 way that happens. He is a 3rd rd guy. Its possible a team reaches for him in rd 2 at earliest.

I have not seen any projections of Watson dropping to the 3rd.

I've seen some 1st round projections but the average projection is mid 2nd.

I love this kid.
He can add another dimension to this team whilst giving us the size we seem to covet.
I think he's gone by the time we pick in round 2 though.
