Thursday afternoon, Stanford held its Pro Day and the Cowboys are projected to select guard David DeCastro. But Garrett wasn't in attendance for the workout that highlights quarterback Andrew Luck, the No. 1 overall pick.
The Cowboys sent national scout Walter Juliff and tight ends coach John Garrett to Stanford. Juliff, however, did scout Smith for the Cowboys last season.

guess Garrett had better things to do.

Stanford has the best tight end coming out in this class. Garrett not being there is not a big deal for me but the tight end coach John Garrett is

besides Fleener, there is a guard (DeCastro) that most on here covet for our 1st rounder, even though i doubt we will take him.

Let's take another backup TE in the 2nd round!

That's worked out great the first two times, hasn't it?

Fleener has the talent to take over for Witten one day.

I'm fine with drafting somebody for that 'one day'.

But not in the second round.

I don't know. I mean, how many pro days has he gone to so far? Maybe he already feels he knows all he needs to know about DeCastro, and doesn't want make his interest obvious. Yeah, it was a big deal about him checking out Tyron twice last year, but a lot of that had to do with seeing if he could handle the extra weight he had put on since the end of the season. Also, it was pretty widely felt that Tyron would be available at our pick, whether we expressed a lot of interest or not.

I wouldn't put too much into it.

Ughh oh decastro isn't the pick !!! Lol just playing. If Jason goes and we pick decastro then every draft we'd be pretty damn predictable. And that can't happen

Isn't Jason Spring Breaking somewhere in Florida?

You expect him to leave the beach and the babes for some silly workout clear across the country?

Hmmm. DeCastro snapping for Luck today at Pro Day. And he says he would play Center if team wanted him to. #drafthimJerry

But never for us. They've done what we never could.
So we should quit trying.

Good plan.

I wonder how many people actually believe take the best player available? I suspect it has the caveat, as long as it is someone I want.
