Wow I cannot believe the negativity that so many people bring to this board. I do not post usually (as evidenced by my post count), but I read almost every thread that gets posted here everyday.

I understand the situation this year's team is in, and am not in denial about their shortcomings. I am however a proud supporter of my team through thick and thin. I got up early this morning, and put on my jersey and headed to the laudromat before the noon game. As I kill some time reading the posts this morning, I find that almost every thread is a negative one. Everyday people complain about how bad ESPN bashes our boys. They have nothing on the doom and gloom of this forum.

Now realize, I'm not talking about every member of this board by any means. But feelings of shock and sickness come to me from seeing all the downer threads on gameday. I understand letting your feelings of frustration be felt right after a loss, but come on. On gameday?!

I really love this site and think it is an amazing resource for cowboys news. And I'm not ready to throw it aside just yet. But for anyone who is reading this, just lighten up and enjoy the best day of the week. Football season is only around for a few months out of the year, just remember the situation could always be worse. How bout them 5-11 Quincy/leaf/hutch/stoerner-led teams?!

Sorry for the long-winded post, but this attitude is more frustrating for me than the boys losing.

The "Dallas texans" are just what we need right now. A boost of confidence that comes from ripping the other team apart. And yes, I'm still a romo supporter :)

go 'boys!:star:

Well, in all fairness, most of the negativity today was brought to you by one individual who, as far as I can tell........doesn't like Tony Romo all too much.

Enjoy the game(s).

Hey for some dwelling on the negative makes it easier for them to get through their days. Nothing wrong with that. Just like there is nothing wrong with those who only dwell on the positive to get through theirs.

To each their own in how they cope with average play by the Cowboys.

I understand your point. Being born in '85, my first experiences with the cowboys came during the great 90's era. And by listening to my dad while he watched the game, you would have thought he was witnessing the worst group of players in history!

Is this why the negativity bothers me? Lol it all started when I was a child....:laugh2:

crxman2003, CowboysZone has built-it tools which can make your daily forum experience much more enjoyable. After identifying a consistently negative poster, click on their username. This will open a submenu.

The option 'View Public Profile' will appear in the submenu. Select it. The link will take you to another webpage.

Slightly below and to the right of the poster's username will be another link labeled 'Add <poster> to Your Ignore List'. Select it.

By repeatedly following these steps whenever necessary, you will gradually filter the neverending poster negativity from your daily visit routine. It will not be a 100% solution. Posters whom you identify as non-negative will still quote those who are, which will allow their unceasing valid or invalid criticism of the team to become visible once more.

Additionally, newer fans will continue to join the forum and some will replace those who you have already filtered out. Heck, some of those whom you have placed on ignore may one day be banned, yet will attempt to return under the guise of someone new and begin their nonstop rhetoric anew.

Needless to say, the available tools are not perfect, but they are better than nothing. Even on the best of days, even during a great game, some will be negative regardless. Do not allow anyone to easily sully your gameday experiences or daily fanfare for your favorite team on this particular Dallas Cowboys fan website.

Just my two cents. Enjoy the game. :)

I don't know.

Jerry Jones, the owner got on the radio Friday and said the fans should be PO'ed.

Honestly, I think fans are just getting plain tired of mediocrity, excuses, poor management, poor coaching and no Playoff wins.

This board is going to freakin implode, far worse than the loss to Giants in 2007 Playoffs, far worse than the blowout to the Eagles, if we lose to the Chiefs.

You could see an all out rebellion by the fans in the form of the lack of ticket purchases and interst.

This is why I believe, for the first time Jerry Jones would fire a Head Coach during the Season.
