No matter how badly the draft goes for the Cowboys today...

Think POSITIVE!
I always do, CC ;)

This was actually intended for the select few here on our message board that will no doubt find fault with whomever the Cowboys select in today's draft.

It's just a friendly little reminder that it could be a hell of a lot worse...:laugh2:

This is hilarious. But the joke is on us ... if YouTube were to make a Cowboy draft blunder's video, it would take 24 hours to cover.

Pathetic.

Misery loves company.

If the QC pick was not bad enough, the Tony Dixon one trumps them all IMO.

I have said it many times and will probably say it many more times.

I bet even Tony Dixon, his Agent and his Family were shocked and scratching their heads when his name was called in the Second round.

Tony Dixon was out walking his dog. He wasn't expecting a call until Sunday.

Picks like QC, Dixon, Goodrich, and all those wasted picks still have me scratching my head.

Laugh at the Jets, but the joke is on us.

Dixon was a huge bust, but Gosselin did have him in the top-60 in his final top-100 and mentioned GM's were really taking a liking to Dixon...unfortunately our GM was one of them

Yeah, he supposedly had a great combine and was a workout warrior. He had a physique of a greek god, and GM's were impressed.

Unfortunately, it didn't translate onto the field.

Visions of Shante Carver still haunt me in my dreams (or nightmares would be more like it). I suppose good ol' Shante must have had a killer scouting combine too.

I remember like it was yesterday when Jerry came on ESPN and trumpeted Carver as the second coming of Charles Haley - HA!

Last I heard, Shante was last seen playing somewhere in the AFL. Hell, if memory serves me correctly, didn't he play for the Desperados at one time?

Carver actually was a sack king at Arizona St. He didn't have the measureables. Slow, not that big, but his biggest problem was no quickness off the snap. McGinest was the real target and Big Bill stole him before the spot Dallas had a trade worked out.

On dc.com, Eatman explained the Goodrich pick. A former scout told him that all the scouts had Goodrich rated as a fourth round pick. But on draft day Lacewell personally gave him a high second round grade and wanted to choose him over Mario Edwards.(not that Edwards should have gone that high either) Then they went to take Larrimore over Edwards in the fourth and finally took the falling Edwards in the sixth.
