No More 4th Quarter Flops

I dont know if this has been talked about or not, but I found one of the most interesting things about our win over Houston to be that we scored 14 points in the 4th quarter. Call me crazy but that is the exact opposite of what we did last year. Last year, we crumbled in the 4th quarter and teams if they hadnt blown us out already, won the game in the 4th quarter due to our inability to close a game out. I got real nervous when the game was close going into the last quarter and I was like" God, dont let this crap happen this year" lol But I feel very confident that our offense.....and Defense will be more than capable of closing out a game this year. Its very refreshing to feel that way!!

When you're behind in the 4th quarter you have to throw more. The more you throw (and in a situation where the defense KNOWS you're gonna throw) then you tend to throw more picks.

That's not to say Vinny was good. He sucked. But that's a big reason for a lot of his ints.

I understand that part, believe me. It just seemed like Vinny forced a lot of passes instead of throwing the ball away.

Oh I can tell. And not only do I think our defense will "Keep us in games", but I think it'll actually win us a couple of games by forcing a turnover or two in the 4th quarter.

The Bears are 3-1 in preseason. I'm sure their fans are screaming about the playoff season they envision.

But there is one big difference. We have shown great things on Defense with 2 of the projected starters not even in there!! Not to mention, you dont see the Bears defense playing with the intensity our guys have been. I mean, our dudes gang tackled the Houston RBs all night long. Any time there was a tackle, seldom was it just one person!! Taht is why I'm excited, preseason or not, our defense looks great, and you cant really deny that. I realize taht it has been against both 1st and 2nd string guys, but hey, that was supposed to be a Dress rehearsal for Houston..........they may need a few more before they can hang with us again....lol.

what about it? I know the defense wasnt good in that game, and everyone was crying about it. But the defense has been very consistent for 2 full games in a row, I know two games isnt very much, but I can still be excited about what I see!!

It was a gigantic choke by the offense. I was laughing my *** off at them. They were so pathetic.

soooooo....whats your point? Did you see the last 2 games? The offense was fine, and it got a lot better in the 3rd game........
