This is it. Dallas can't screw around in this game. This Cardinals team is dead but they have talent. That means don't give up any big runs to Edgerrin James whose longest run is 14 yards; get ahead early so that the rookie Leinart has to play from behind; control Betrand Berry so Romo has time and most of all no stupid penalties or turnovers. They have to get this game because if they drop to 4-5 with Peyton Manning looming the season is over. You can't lose to Arizona and expect me to believe this is a playoff team. Let's see these guys show how good they can be for once.

Actually, you cant lose to a 2-5 Commanders team and think we are playoff bound.

The boys will have to win this one big, upset the Colts and then hammer the bucs on Turkey day before anyone should be thinking playoffs.

we are the picture of mediocrity...win one, lose one...win one lose one

doesnt get anybody a playoff run playing that way

Maybe so, but at least the Commanders are a rival so losing to them is always possible. The Cards are the worst franchise in the NFL. To me it's a totally different story losing to them under the current circumstances.

it was a pathetic performance

Yes, because we lost to a 2-5 Commanders team we are mathematically eliminated from the playoff hunt.

obviously that isnt true, but it was a game we should have won...what happened to the team being "energized" by the QB switch? Where did the energy go?

It was an awful performance by a poorly coached team

Absolutely correct. But if they lose to this Cards team it will be just as ugly if not more.

we should win, but with a Parcells coached team nothign surprises me...it wouldnt be that much of a stunner if we lost

it sux, but I am absolutely convinced we'll never be a "good" team with this coaching staff

The game you guys lost to the Giants at home could be huge.

IF Washington can beat Philly today then we play the horrible Tampa Bay bucs and could be looking at 5-5 and 2-2 in division with two home games.

If you guys beat the Cards then lose to the Colts thats 5-5 but 1-3 in division and behind Washington.

First things first, I hope Washington beats Philly today. I'm not going to wish you guys good luck, but hope all of your players stay healthy for todays game.

Unfortunately a loss wouldn't stun me either. That's what scares me. I'm not sure about this coaching staff, and after three years that shouldn't even be an issue so that is a bad sign. Looking ahead, I'd really like to see Jeff Fisher here next year. I believe this is it for Parcells barring at least a trip to the NFC Championship Game. He just looks tired.

Don't underestimate the Bucs at home. Their 2 wins are vs. the Bengals and Eagles (good offensive teams) down there.

We outplayed them on both offense and defense. What happened is a blocked kick, a dropped pass, and some stupid penalties. I know people think that the better team should always blow out the worse team, but that just doesn't happen in this NFL. Games like that happen. We lose to worse team because of a fluke play and a couple mental errors, whereas we dominated them otherwise. Does it mean we should write off the playoffs? That sounds a bit like emotional overreaction to me.

I wouldn't mind Jeff Fisher.

I loved the rumor about Jimmy, but I think that is still a rumor. I'll try to start it again and get enough momentum that the two guys will have to answer questions about each other so much, they will figure it will be easier to work together.

You wouldn't mind Drew Bledsoe coming back in as the starter either. ;)

you left off not having a pass rush again, leaving mediocre WR's open all over, getting ***** slapped (again) for the entire 1st quarter

I wasnt talking about blowing them out, I just wanted to get a W against a lousy football team that had been playing terrible football...good teams do that, especially when resurrecting your season is on the line

As bad as we played, we still would have won the game if Parcells would have made the extremely simple decision to kick the extra point in the first quarter.

That is just one example of Parcells not being on top of his game. He can shout at players and try to intimidate the media as much as he wants, but when he makes decisions like that he is proving his ignorance.

Your point of view matches mine exactly. I don't think what you said above is much to ask from a team that is supposedly playoff-ready.

You act like Washington is the Texans or something. They're exactly the type of team that can, playing their best football, bite you in the butt. I thought you were a little smarter than to have an emtional reaction like this (i.e., to throw the team under the bus because we lost to a talented team).

"We can't beat the Commanders, so we don't deserve to get to the playoffs." That sounds like something those 16 year old kids that show up here after a loss would say. It's football. You lose close games. You live to play the next game and you're not eliminated until you're eliminated.
