We are very close. I think if we played anyone besides a division rival, we go to the Super Bowl. No way we would have beat the Pats playing the way we have the last month or so though. At least there is some closure to losing, this is the Pats year no matter what.

However, we are not going to replace Crayton. We just resigned him, and although everyone hates him he is a very good slot receiver, and in a pass first offense those are very important. Look at what Stokley did in Indy, Welker in NE, Ricky Proehl in St Lous etc.

In my opinion we need a new starting corner (Reeves, you're gone, and Henry, I'm growing impatient on you as well) Also we need a new starting linebacker. Be it letting Akin go and signing one (Briggs?) or promoting Burnett. I hope we keep most of the positions the same, except cornerback, middle linebacker, wide receiver, and a punt/kick returner.

We are close. Oh so close. Next year is our year. This year was the Pats year, no matter how we want to look at it.

I'll be suprised if we even make the playoff next year.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it until they prove me otherwise. :bang2:

I have to agree-with our secondary, even WITH Henry this time around, honestly-it would have been another 48-27 beating to the Pats in AZ. Yeah, yeah-I know, any given sunday, but let's get real.

This time, it would have been Jacques Reeves getting schooled by Welker in the nickel.

Anyhow-I doubt we'll be 13-3 again next year, but as proven in recent years, ANY seed has a very good shot at winning it all.

I hate to bust your bubble, but Flo won't be franchised.

Why the f would we franchise him anyway? We could sign him for much less than it would cost to franchise him. I'm sure Flo will go where the money is highest, but he certainly would be willing to stay here.

We just signed Crayton so that's not gonna happen and I would rather drop ball or jones and move Reeves to #4 in place of a draft pick.

Crayton is a clutch WR for us and has the best hands on the team. The guy has a bad game and everybody wants to cut him, that's simply ridiculous. He's made more key and clutch 3rd down catches for 1st downs then he has dropped the ball. Dude had 1 bad game. Chill folks!!!!

I agree with you that everyone needs to chill with Crayton, but in that one game he didnt show those 2 things on the field when it counted. so I can see why people would get upset. I for one am glad Patrick Crayton will be back next year and I think he will make a nice impact, I wouldnt mind getting younger at the WR position by going to the draft, but it has nothing to do with Crayton (obviously) with the extension and all.

#3.....we just signed him for big bucks......but, we could drop him from #2 to our #3 wr and draft a good one for #2

I agree with most of this. Dallas needs two first round CBs and a Rb first day pick. A Wr. out of FA. Reeves played ok for a while but really got burned toward the end of the season. Might be Ok as a 5th Cb but would have to take less money. Who will pick him up and pay more? They are just a few pieces away.

No he didn't in that game but the guy is money when it comes to catcing the ball, particularly for 1st downs. It's wrong to judge him or run him out of town cause of 1 game. Again, that's simply ridiculous!!!!
