So they tease that the Cowboys have a big injury to a defensive star and show a pic of Demarcus......

Any big Cowboy fan already knew it was Spears. And Ware being out would be bigger news than that. But there had to be a few people who were scared by that.

To me that is so amateurish. You guys dont need to fool people to watch, youre getting ratings. Dont be lame

Media in this country is going downhill fast. It's just going to get worse :(

That's ESPN...they want to control how sports news is shown instead of just reporting it.
That network has sold out to making every news report as hyped and over-blown as possible.
This is what happens when a network has no competition and has a monopoly over doing 24hrs of being a sports network. No accountability at all.

I almost never watch ESPN anymore. Even though the NFL network isn't great... it beats the **** out of ESPN.

Why would anyone on this board take offense to someone pointing out ESPN's flaws?

One of the things I don't understand about ESPN is that they are the only 24 hrs sports network so why do they resort to such underhanded tactics when they report the news?
No one in charge for that network is responsible enough to stop it. How Kornhieser is still employed is beyond me. It's all part of selling out to the lowest form of getting ratings. It's a shame because that network could be so much better if it would clean up it's act. But with no real competition in the tv market they just sell out at every turn.....I guess I answered my own question.

I don't know, but they're definitely out there.
