i must agree...Hutchinson set career high with 3 sacks against our RT....he needs to get it together...Dak is playing good considering crummy O line
You realize he got at least one off Tyron, right?

I have seen this 2023 OL all year and it is embarrassing to call it a Cowboys' OL. They cannot run block. It is a season long problem. Pollard is not getting any holes. Is our center even 25% as good as TFred? Is Zach on his last legs? Is Steele anything better than a turnstyle? We need road graders and guys who push the defenders backwards. This team is now struggling to score points in three straight games. The skilled position players are fine, but the OL has been piss poor!
Part of the problem is all the starters have only played together half the time. I also think the blocking schemes haven't been great and Biadsz is a far better pass blocker than run blocker.

Let’s not let Jerry get free either. A lot of fans were saying the offensive line could be in trouble without more draft picks and depth.

We all knew it was time for Zeke to go but we also all knew we had to get at least one physical back to support Pollard, especially coming off the injury. Guys like Henry were available until the last second.

If the fans can see it, the GM should’ve too. Dak and CeeDee balling inspite of the run and OL problems.
THATS RIGHT I was hoping for Henry ,to be added to the running backs room. But no dice.Ownership didn't think so .I think Henry would have helped this team.

They are pass blocking better than run blocking but I am worried Steele is going to get Dak subdivided

Is HORRIBLE !

Where the heck is this "good" OL??? WHERE?!?!?!

Tony Pollard had 16 carries for 49 yards. Everyone says get rid of Tony. But of those 49 yards, how many yards did Pollard have after being hit?
Answer: 43.......
43 ! That is over 94% of your yards being done after he is being hit.

Well is the blocking?????

This OL MUST be addressed next season. And a new OL coach also.

maybe only center Tyler Biadasz maybe replaced, and that will likely come NFL draft.
I dunno what to make of Tyler B's future.
he was a pro bowl alternate in '22, but was his decline due to a lingering injury ?

but i'd very strongly prefer to decide on the future and fixture of the OL coach first.
when HOF Zack Martin game just suddenly falls off, Steele is that much slower to make a ACL recovery
and our run block scheme is utterly trash, that's where i come to suspect it's OL coach related.

I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be. A RB upgrade should still be a goal in the offseason but other than that, this is pretty much the identity of the team. This is a passing team, they're not going to have great running stats. Detroit and Miami also have Top-5 run defenses so they weren't going to allow a ton of yards on the ground.

It's a passing league now - you pass to set up the run. The last 4 Super Bowl winners all ranked in the bottom half of the league in rushing yards per game:

2022 Chiefs - 20th
2021 Rams - 25th
2020 Bucs - 28th
2019 Chiefs - 23rd

However, the Cowboys still need to be better at running in certain situations. My main concern is that McCarthy and Dak tend to abandon the run too often. There will be times where they need to just stick with the run and get a few yards to avoid 3rd and long situations. It doesn't have to be a big gain, even 3 yards would be positive. That is part of the chess match they will need to win in the playoffs. The playoff teams will show lots of run looks and then drop into coverage, baiting the Cowboys to throw.

Tyron great but super unreliable, Tyler great, Biadisz(sp) is upgradeable, Zach falling off somewhat, Steele garbage this year…….i think Solari has made this team REGRESS…..this line is worse, scheme always has DL in our backfield….get rid of Solari, it’s like how Mike Nolan was, just made it worse.

Go back to last years run rules blocking scheme. It can be done and not too late.

Yeah, whatever they are doing different than last year they need to scrap that scheme and get back to basics.

Bad scheme. Bad play calling. Pollard hit so many times at or behind the LOS it's past ridiculous.

Changes need made in the off season.
And in the meantime, abandon the idea that this team NEEDS to run. Runs are becoming wasted plays, especially on 1st down.

This is a pass-first offense now, and they should only be committed to the run when they get up by 2 scores (10+ points).

Yet, they should still use play action early and often, because teams still respect the Cowboys' running game, so they should use that to their advantage more often.

And Pollard should get his touches in the passing game (screens, draws, inside arrow routes, etc.)
