No one on this board should be suprised if the Pats win by 30 next week

I seen this all before, a team gets a gift and wins a game they had no business winning and then the following week they get smashed by the next opponent. I seen this happen too many times and I think it would happen to the cowboys next week. Not just because they barely escaped defeat last night, it will be because of the National media hype of Romo and the team all week long and juts getting the defense of the Pats geared up for the game and feeling like Dallas is the team to beat which we all know isn;t true. So Don;t be suprised if the Pats not only win, but WIN BIG. I hope I'm wrong but I have learned to be a realist, which is a cowboys fan with a openmind

I don't know if we will win or not but I don't expect to get blown out by the Pats or any other team. Dallas had a rough night but did what they had to do to win the game and they will be ready for the Pats.

I am not surprised by anything I see happen in the NFL these days.

I see the Pats as the favorites coming into Texas Stadium. It would not be a shock to see them win. I think things would have to go badly for Dallas in order for the Pats to win in a blow out. Same in the other way. Dallas can win, but it is not likely they blow out the Pats.

Is it realsm? or is it being overly negative?

Show a little pride in your team. I wouldn't be surpised if we won by 30, or if we lost by 3, or won by 3. It happens, but don't be so down after a win.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get spanked next week, but that game last night was no gift. The defense kept us in the game and we kept chipping away. It was an ugly win but it was no gift...

Hey, if you're taking the Pats giving 30, can I have some of that action??

Once again, a pessimist calls his BS "realism"...

I just feel we all should not get our hopes up knowing that they should be
4-1 right now. So I hope no one feels they are on the Pats level just because they are both 5-0. I'm old enough to know the truth

why is it you can only have an open mind if you say we're going to get blown out?

i have an open mind and we can win this game. we can get blown out. we can blow them out or we can lose by 1 at the final second.

Your assumption is predicated on the fact that Dallas has no business winning, when in fact, it was Buffalo that had no business winning. QBs don't normally throw 5 interceptions unless they are having a really bad night...

Dallas should be 5-0 because they made the plays when they had to be made. I agree we did not play well but this team hung in there and made the plays when they had to have them. I agree that the Pats are a good team and I expect them to come in as a slight favorite this weekend but Dallas is not a slouch team and dealing with a game as they did last night I think will only bring this team closer together.

Why even bother showing up then? Why doesn't Jerry just say "hey, why play the game, they are going to beat us by 30" lets get an extra bye week instead. Jeebus dude, your team is 5-0...... show some faith, show some pride, and quit acting like the word is coming to an end just because we're playing the Patriots.

If anybody got a gift it was the Bills, Romo did everything he could to hand them that game. The rest of the team played their hearts out.

So are we all in agreement that even though we are 5-0, the cowboys are not on the Pats level? I just want to take one game at a time and now start getting too excited and thinking we can beat the Pats.

Cowboys fans refer to their team as "we."

When someone uses "they" when referring to the Cowboys--especially in a thread when someone is trying to convince me that we are going to lose by 30 next game--my "troll" sensor goes off. You wouldn't happen to live near DC, would you?

We can beat the Pats, Dallas will have to play better than they did but we can beat the Pats. Every year even the top teams go out and play a bad game and are forced to come back and win it in the end. I respect the Pats but I don't think they are unbeatable and Dallas still has the talent to go out and win that game.

I was hopeful if we played well against the Bills that we had a legitimate shot against NE. Now, while I'm thrilled we won last night, I'm a little bit more realistic about our chances on Sunday.

First we gotta hope Romo is back on track (having Wilson beside him as a sounding board) should be a big help, but am concerned how big a role TO plays in the game -- and if TO doesn't have a big game I doubt we can win.

On our defense played well but that against one of the lesser NFL teams and NE's offense can really hurt us.

Also our punt return coverage is a disaster. Despite shutting down Hester in the Bears win, we've given up 2 TDs in last 2 games. Realize that Keith Davis is out along with Brown, but sure hope they back fully healthy and able to play.

Other than TO drops this team played very well and overcame the horrible play of their QB. While I lost a bit of confidence in Romo in this game, and I would think the team did as well, I gained a bit of confidence in the team last night.

Romo has work to do to get the confidence of his teammates back to the level it was and the OLine has some work to do in the running game, but the D was ready to play and really carried this team to a win last night!

If Romo gets back to his old self I think the game Sunday will be a knockdown drag out fight!

With that frame of mind, the Pats will go undefeated.

Everyone loses. The Pats stand as good a chance as any of losing to us this weekend.

I just hope WE know that we are not the same 5-0 team at the Pats. Is that better? Sorry for the error
