Tom Landry says, "Hold my beer Mike".

1976 - 11-3 (14 games)
1977 - 12-2 (14 games)
1978 - 12-4
1979 - 11-5
1980 - 12-4
1981 - 12-4

None were 17 game seasons.

Nice try.
Yeah but here's the thing most of us are saying since the mid 90s we're not going all the way back we're saying since Jimmy Johnson Mike McCarthy needs some respect he has this team playing the best and that includes the parcel years because Parcells A quitter he quit before he finished and I don't count him a Cowboys head coach because he was a giants head coach and he didn't finish the job and and in my opinion he cost us Sean Payton by not telling Sean Payton that he was gonna quit sooner than later and give Sean a reason to stay here and take over the job so yes Mike McCarthy is the best head coach we've had since Jimmy Johnson... I don't think people are trying to go further back than that but everyone wants to complain about the last 30 years and we're saying that everyone who thinks Mike McCarthy's on the hot seat and wants him gone needs to rethink their position regardless of what happens in the playoffs.

To put this in front of people:
11-3
12-2
12-4
11-5
12-4
6-3 (strike, lost in conference finals)
12-4

Landry had a better win percentage than 12-5 in 5 of 6 full seasons during this stretch. Was 2-3 in NFC conference championships (meaning he made it there 5 times).
All of this with next to zero playoff success.

Regular season success is only halfway there

IF we once again do not at least get to the NFCCG then it means NOTHING
despite what all those who settle for mediocrity instead of striving for excellence believe

First time I can actually say I liked the play calling almost all season.

Sure...there were games where we ran Pollard into a brick wall at the line of scrimmage. But...it wasnt in a frustrating way like when Garrett would constantly try and be cheeky and do it on 1st, 2nd and then when its 3rd and 7...do it again thinking he would fool the defense.

I hated the offense in the San Fran game. Seemed like Dallas wasnt giving it their all...offense looked stagnant. But after that game I have loved watching the offense.

Seems like its McCarthy that should get the credit for the offense and Dak being able to excel in that offense.

Im a big McCarthy fan. Such a breathe of fresh air around here. I like that he is modern and goes for it on 4th too. Just a big fan.

First thats what everyone of the Fans should want--regular season or whatever- we dont lose entire seasons on injuries to OT's and such now...
second why does this have anything to do with what Tom Landry did, the trigger some here have for past coaches/players is crazy...Tom Landry was GREAT that doesnt mean MM has to be not great...
third- go win a trophy now because thats whats left to accomplish!
yeah many here probably think Landry was holy
