First draft in some time where we do not have a high first round talent that is probably going to fall due to drugs, character or legal issues that I can think of this year.

There also does not seem to be that guy who did not really do much in college but lit up combine and is expected to go up in the first round Ala Dontari Poe.

Seems kinda of weird as you almost always have one of the other or both.

Aaron Lynch has 1st round type talent. When he was at ND and weighed 270 he looked terrific in some games.

He is at the end of the draft due to mental makeup issues.

He was not going to be protected as a first rounder going into this season or this draft.

David Yankee has dropped like a stone.

phillip gaines went from late 5th to about early third after the combine. Colt lyerla is probably the best TE in this draft but will go undrafted ala vonteze burfict.

Agree with Lyerla he has Jimmy Graham type talent but his character concerns are out of this world

Aaron Donald has climbed the board a fair amount due to the combine workout and all star game. Early 2nd or late 1st to potentially top 10 depending who you believ.

Yeup...Aaron Donald is the workout warrior that climbed all the draft boards in 2014....give em' next week on the guy that falls....Lewan?

Lewan has dropped in many mocks from a firm top 10 and possible top 5 into a possibility of going in the teens. Aaron Donald wasn't exactly an unknown but he climbed while Nix fell from his perch. Mosely suddenly seemed to get the plague from being a sure fire top half of the first round type. I expect Sam gave up 50 or so spots coming out as he did.

Donald does not count. His game tape backed up how good a player he was along with his post season bowl game. Notice I said in my OP about someone not really doing anything on the field and then blowing up the combine. Lewan is still expected to go in the top half of the first.

Bridgewater is not dropping due to the reasons I listed. Some just don;t think he is as hyped as before after his pro day.

So far the only one I can see that anyone has listed is the TE who frankly I have never heard of but then again I only know about 3-4 TEs in this draft as I never bothered looking them up much this year. But if a couple people say he was going to go in the 1st and now will not, I will take your word for it as I just don't know him.

Seantrel Henderson is the closest I can think of as someone with all the physical tools but a 10 cent head that someone might be dumb enough to pick fairly early

For the latter, what about Blake Bortles? He was not in the same class as Bridgewater or Manziel (or even Carr) as a college player but now appears to be the top rated QB because he fits the classical image of giant, pure pocket passer with a big arm. Just a 3,000 passer as a Soph and 3,500 as a Junior. Cody Lattimer is also rocketing up draft boards apparently, to where he might be a late first mostly due to physical attributes and a super pro day.

As far as the former, yeah I agree. In fact, I've heard very little about character or attitude for any prospects in the top 40 or so. But who knows…maybe Darqueze Dennard drops to the late 2nd and it's only later where we later find out it was due to character concerns.

Bortles was climbing high before the combine/pro day so I would not out him.

However good call on Latimer. He put up a great speed at his pro day and has really climbed. Word was he did not have great stats but also had terrible QB. I did not watch him so I don't know if the QB thing was that bad or not.

Maybe the Ohio State CB Roby (so?) falls. Just seen something good about him getting in trouble recently for a dui

At one time Tajh Boyd. The Clemson QB was getting a lot of high first round love. And now you don't hear anything about him.
