TE that went unnoticed and did everything right, the 28yr old Vet. looked good catching the ball.

He looked pretty weak at the point of attack trying to block. He is still a bit one dimensional at this point.

Rosario is nice option as a 4th TE. However, Andre Smith is the stronger blocker of the 2. If they go only 4 deep at TE, Smith probably will get the nod.

Rosario is there for special teams

I won't be surprised at all if we go 5 deep at TE.

I agree. And i have been saying all along he was likely to make the team because of his STs contribution. But if Smith progresses and proves to be a much better in-line blocker, I think they'll go with the younger player at TE.

Smith has been catching the ball better than expected in camp, and his blocking is excellent. I'm a fan of his. I wouldn't mind going 5 TEs running the 12 all year but its probably won't happen if we go 4 deep at RB.

4 RB's?
5 TE's?

Yeah right to both.

And smith won't make the team over Rosario.

Unless he gets injured.

If we keep 5 TE's and 4 RB's most likely we'd have to only carry 9 OL. Smith blocked better yesterday than Weems and Coughman could've ever dreamed about.

we need a true blocking tight end.

Why?

Or Are you just repeating something you've heard.

I see no need for it.

If you want to add an extra blocker on a short yardage run play send out another lineman.

B/C I prefer to have one really solid blocker who can occasionally catch passes as well. If we're going to be running outside a lot with callahan's offense then we need good blocking on the edges.

Why so attached to Rosario?

He made it hard for anyone that has to make the decision to cut. There was one catch on the sideline where he looked like Witten with his feet and motion. I said looked, didn't say he plays like Witten. If he keeps lookin that good it might come down to what guy is late to a meetin.

I am in the 5 TE camp. I think this is what Dallas has planned. Heck they were running 4 TE sets out there Sunday

I could be wrong, but I think we scored both TDs in the HOF game behind Smith's blocking. So yeah, I see a need for it.

wow, 4 RB's I think are needed, but 5 TE's? I haven't given that much thought...if so, we would only have 9 or 10 OL (depending on where you list Ladoceur) and 5 WRs.
QB=2; RB=4, WR=5,OL=10,TE=5; K/P=2....that's 28 of our 53, leaving 25 for defense...I can't see 5 TE...either Smith or Rosario wins the 4th TE spot but not more than 4

I would hate to lose Andre Smith by keeping Rosario. Just by cost difference alone I think they keep Smith.
