No Time For Cowboys Organization, Or Fanbase, To Panic

As we head into the final games of the 2015 season, a season that has turned out to be a nightmare from which there is no escape, I offer two humble words of advice - don't panic.

It's not time to fire Jason Garrett. Or Scott Linehan. It's not time to declare the team irretrievably broken and that nothing but blowing it up and starting over will do. The Cowboys are 3-8, I get that, you get that, it's been nothing but misery ever since the game ended with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week Two. The win over Miami was just a brief respite before the darkness enveloped us again. Again - don't panic.

There are lessons to be learned for sure. Almost no one thinks the coaching staff did a good job this season. Almost everybody thinks they did a fantastic job last season. One bum season is not enough to start firing people, especially a season that comes with a large caveat. Losing Tony Romo and Dez Bryant to injury for significant portions of the season does not excuse everything, but it does make a fair evaluation sketchy at best. The coaches can learn from their mistakes just like people in any other profession...

Um, I'm not panicked. I'm disgusted.

Every year we are learning lessons cause we have a coach who is getting on the job training. We are the Dallas Cowboys, we should have the best of the best from the top to the bottom.

I'm going to say his in the form of a question... No time to panic? What does that mean? Panic is a response to impending doom. If at 3-8 and still only two games out of first place and two games against the first place team ahead of us... When is the right time to panic? Maybe I just missed the point.

No time to panic, but the FO had better not take the "well we were injured, so we are close" mentality either. I've lost faith in Garrett, but I also know that Jerry will not find someone appreciably better than him either. Jason makes Jerry feel comfortable, and comfort, like a tumbler of Johnnie Walker Blue, is what Jerry wants.

They need to have a big draft, starting with the qb of the future. Please find at least a few FA bargains that can at least compete with the garbage we have at safety. Alot of holes that cant be fixed in one offseason, but please try and fix as many as possible. And gonna let everyone in on a little secret, Tony Romo was not very good in the 14 quarters he played this year. The last 7 of those we can maybe attribute to rust, but the offense scored 5 tds in his 14 quarters. Outside of the 4th quarter in the opener, he was downright pedestrian or worse. I'm not advocating replacing him in 2016, but this bears watching. He might be closer to the end than we think.

I fear the same thing. Just like we thought because our o-line was good, any RB could run behind it. We need to brace ourselves, because that's EXACTLY the way Jerry thinks; we were just unlucky because of injuries. I really hope deep inside he's not happy with Garrett. I doubt it, though.

Funny I kept saying I would panic after we lost game #7 but somehow I'm just kinda numb or indifferent, like part of me knew all along but was just in denial...

What's this "One bum season is not enough to start firing people?" The outlier is the one good year. That's the issue.

This is absurd. Like putting lipstick on a pig.

No time to panic. Tony will be 36 next year, is injury prone. We have no backup. Our team regressed on defense even though we upgraded. Our OL regressed. Dez can't make a play. Our other WR"s have shown little if any improvement.

I'll actually panic if we win a game and ruin our draft slotting.

how long does he get to receive the training as HC? He has been the HC since November 2010.

how long is this Jason going to get a pass? Injuries and backups should NEVER be an excuse. They should indicate that he can't coach worth a ****. Princeton boy just doesn't have it. Good motivator and speech giver but there is more to coaching than that and we all know it.

Enough of this man. Lets move on.
