No true Cowboys fan would ever root for the Eagles tomorrow to win the SB

I wanted the Giants to deny the Patriots undefeated season.

I wanted Philly to prevent the three-peat so that Dallas still has some historical relevance.

I still hate both teams, but politics and football can sometimes result in strange bedfellows.

Sue me.

This take did not age well.
If Philthy's defense hadn't been right in his face all night, Mahomes would've proved it. That defense was right on top of him all night! Tell me that doesn't shut down a qb. That heavy of pressure will shut down any QB and it was there all night.
I'd take Mahomes ANY day to Hurts, and twice on Sundays.

I projected the Eagles as the winner. I was right about that and wrong about Barkley. An Eagle blow out was what I wanted

Just giving you a hard time. The thing is, I hope others realize it’s obviously not just Saquan. It’s not just about the Eagles’ running game.

The game is about adaptation on the fly. KC devoted their soul to stopping the run and forced Hurts to try his arm. And KC lost the bet that he would be able to pick up first downs consistently. That is typical in the NFL postseason. The other team’s defense forces you to play another style to score points.

Not all that plagues the Cowboys revolves around the running game. Though I see it on here 24/7.

A QB (and RB, for that matter) is only as good as his O-line. A superior unit is the surest route to a SB. Patrick's was terrible. And Hurts has the best in the League.

Did the Eagles ever blitz Mahomes?

I am impressed with the way the Eggels handled themselves today.
After the Chiefs kept soiling the bed, I was ready for the Chiefs to be dismantled.
This Chiefs team was not worthy to be a SB Champion this year.
Even if the Cowboys tank this year, I will be pleased if they somehow beat the Eagles...

So my friend and I used the reverse psychology method.
All year we wanted KC to lose, but yet they (refs) kept on winning.

So after the AFCCG game, she said, we need to root for KC and maybe they will lose.

So every time Philly scored, Mahomes got sacked, or threw a pick, and the pick 6. We said, well dang Philly (not the right word).

So Mahomes can choke (again) in a big game, imagine that. :muttley:
Pressure on for a 3-peat, choke.

I did win $100 on our 10 liner / shot gun pool. That 2 point conversion. A friend, he was ready to collect his money, until that last TD. Another friend, was ready at 40-20 to collect hers. She would have won both, and get $200. Then the 2 points.

I dont care how many SB kansas city has won the past 5 years. How can someone call themselves a cowboys fan and would actually want eagles fans to be HAPPY this time tomorrow night? Root for a division rival that has an arrogant coach and ignorant fan base?
.
I've been a Cowboys fan since their VERY FIRST DAY in the league back in 1960 and I HATE every other team. I rooted for KC because I looked at what is best for the Cowboys. The eagles had only a single Super Bowl win going into the game and KC is tied with the Cowboys having 2 wins in a row. I didn't want KC the become the first 3peat team and be ahead of the Cowboys. So for that reason I rooted for the eagles and am glad they won.

I honestly thought it would be a close game, and given the Chiefs history of getting calls and comebacks with the wonder boy at QB thought it could be a close game.

That said, I couldn't help but think how the OL and DL would play for the eagles, and if they were as good as the stats showed they were, I thought the game last night would actually happen if that makes any sense.

I am happy for Saquon. He is basically what you would get if you took Zeke but made him into a decent human being who cared about something other than himself.

The amount Cowboys fans in here celebrating their arch rival's SB victory is nuts lol. Eagles fans absolutely despise you and wish nothing but the worst for you (literally) and y'all are in here licking their boots. Wild. We really do have one of the worst, most fair-weather fanbases in the league. You hate to see it. Guess that's what happens when half your fanbase are bandwaggoners who aren't even from the state of Texas.
