broaddus is tweeting that he doesn't think Smith will play tonight. If that's the case I don't Romo out there at all. Even to hand off. Not worth it.

Yeah Chaz didnt inspire confidence, gotta see if he can play at all, but not at Romo's expense. Game three is more important anyway.

same ol stuff......we baby these guys every year then we start slow and guys still get injured....the day EE got hurt I said we wouldn't see him until Week 3 of the preseason if we were lucky....now TSmith and Romo won't play.....gggggrreaattt

Yet the Steelers and Packers didn't play their QBs or superstars, and they are 2 of the most respected organizations in the NFL. If a player has any kind of injury that could linger or worsen from playing, then they don't play in the preseason. There is no reason to risk injury to key players in the preseason, and most NFL teams agree.

Sounds to me like you just want something to watch in a meaningless preseason game. If Tyron were starting I'd be all for it, but until Chaz proves he can be anything but a turnstile I don't want Romo playing one meaningless snap with him at LT. I'm not sure of many things with this team, but I can say with a fair amount of certainty that Romo will be ready come Sept 10.

if tyron don't play then I wouldn't play Tony at all other starting qb's didn't play like big ben and rodgers

Poor condition leads to certain types of injuries, broken bones not being one of them.
We're getting away from the topic at hand.

Many on here dont want to see the starters for fear of injury. To me, thats a poor reason not to play guys in the preseason. Eli Manning is on record as saying he needs the preseason games to prepare for the season.

Its one thing to not let players play because they are already injured, but its asinine to not play them for fear of injury period.

I want to see our real First team play, but we won't see that until Week 5 if we are lucky and no one else gets hurt or suspended....I have seen this movie before...Greg Ellis, Anthony Spencer, Jay Ratliff, Miles Austin, Mo Claiborne, RGregory..."ignore the man behind the curtain"

I agree with the premise of....if you are healthy, then you should play at least a series or two. Now, if Smith was injured, then sit Romo. If Zeke is hurt(he is), sit him as well. They need to work some rust off and tonight is as good a start as any.

Play 1 or 2 series, then increase it to a half next week then rest up in the last game. Everyone on offense is good to go tonight minus Zeke, get them some live, 1st team snaps.

I am as anxious as anyone to see if Dak can duplicate what he did last week but would like to see Romo work on that chemistry, if only a series or two.

So are you saying you think they got hurt because they rested preseason games? There is no factual basis for believing that.
how about if they dont play ps, then they are more likely to get hurt in a early game.
More likely than if they had got "warmed up, in the groove" in ps.

you can hold players out of ps, then they can get hurt game one or 2 or 3.
Best way to avoid injurys, is being in shape, and being in the groove mentally, and ps is slower paced, so better to
get back into mental groove in ps.

Russell wilson, has played in both seattle games, not for long, but he goes in and plays like it is real
but at same time plays smart.
I would tell tony to get rid of ball quick and play safe.
If tyron doesnt play you have the rb stay in to blk every pass play, to protect tony, with eye on left side.

Ever heard of Correlation does not equal Causation? It applies here. You don't have any proof that sitting players in the preseason causes players to be more injury prone or more prone to slow starts.
