With Rodgers injury he will be eager to release the ball. The Cowboys def will need to bump the receivers at the line to make Rodgers antcy. Do you agree?

watch the greenbay pick plays. Sad that we basically the only team that get's flagged for running pick plays. Even if the defender push our wr into their guy smh. Thats the only thing about man defense, pick plays or someone slip then someone will be wide open.

I'll take zone all day if they keep GB from getting big plays. Our red zone coverage has been decent this season and GB kills teams with long easy scores.

Mix of zone and man.

Got to mix it up against Rodgers or he will tear us up. Carter plays the zone fairly well, shoulda had a pick last week in zone coverage and maybe he can get one this week. Rodgers likes those short slants and shallow crosses, maybe he can jump one of those routes and take it to the house.

Zone has nothing to do with bumping receivers.

Dallas can play more man if Rodgers is having trouble moving. Otherwise, you can't turn your back to mobile quarterbacks, or they'll run forever. Zone worked beautifully against Seattle, although they don't have the receivers that Green Bay has.

The key is field goals, not touchdowns, for the defense.

More important will be textbook TACKLING, since both Nelson and Cobb are in the top ten for receivers adding yards after the catch. Nelson in particular has a propensity for long TD RAC. I would say that Dallas handled Tate and Johnson pretty well. However, Nelson and Cobb are both pretty fluid, while presenting a more precise and tenacious threat to the Dallas secondary. The hope is that Rodgers is closer to 50% than 95% in the cold environment. We don't know if his tear is grade one or grade two, but having recently recovered from a hip flexor strain (grade one), it can take months before a muscle gets completely healed from injury. I spent copious amounts of time with ice and a heating pad. It is entirely possible that he could experience some tightening in such frigid conditions, where blood flow will naturally be reduced. Muscles don't really like cold temperatures, or the extremes between work and rest periods (if the Dallas running game owns the clock). This is why THE best defense for Dallas is a STRONG running game Sunday. They must own the time of possession and win the turnover battle...or else.

It's not impossible to play a tighter zone scheme. It's not impossible to bump a receiver while playing zone.

I agree with you somewhat. I would adapt to anything thrown at us. Zone defense may be the best option at times.

I completely agree. We have to tackle well or they will hurt us with yards after catch.

I think the bottom line is Rodgers will eat you alive if you give him time to throw, whether it's man or zone coverage.
