He made some catches but he has no speed. He’s a very average receiver and probably got the least attention of any of our receivers which helped him get open. Neither he or any receiver we have scares anymore. It’s pretty sad that we’re down to a special teams player as our number two receiver.

How can a QB play well when the receivers are terrible? It's a catch-22...or a drop-22.

When the "elite" QB throws him in the dirt? Behind? High? All Noah's fault eh? Jeeze....dude. Come on. QB's can screw it up but how dare a WR?

Look people...I never said Noah was the next coming of Mike Evans. But 5 for 9 for 67 yards, 13.6 av.... and long of 22.....when the team is destroying itself around him? That's a good showing.

You guys are nuts.

I wasn't saying Noah was terrible. I was responding to the tweet that said the receivers were terrible. Also, it's a joke if you look at it.

He is a good 3rd option. Needs two dogs on the field with him to keep the coverage honest.

I have no disagreement with that.

However....a week and 4 years ago you'd swear Noah couldn't catch the broad side of a barn. 13.7 yards per catch (5 of 9?) with the team sinking fast....and then finally abandon ship. He's a nice "option"....and still developing. He needs reps.

So give him a chance. He's had BARELY any reps. A confused Dak, then a cast off as his QB? Brady would make him a star.

Not a wildly dramatic one...but reliable 13.7 ypc star.

SO break it down for me. What did Noah do or not do that deserves your wrath?
Since you asked so kindly......Noah been in the league for 5 years now. 1st time threatening for playing time, but due to attrition, not warranted play.
Granted ST is his forte.......but 5 years to warrant playing time of any significance. There is a reason......maybe bad hands, maybe bad routes, maybe not knowing the plays?
To recap, its relatively simple.....5 years to warrant playing time.

I will check my sarcasm meter. Maybe a little clue of some sort might help as well. I'll direct the guns to an enemy target not the friendlies!

He’s getting a chance because we have little at WR. He’s probably one of the slowest receivers we have. Easily the worst receiving group we’ve had since the start of the 2018 season. It may take until week three for us to score our first TD.

Even the....er .....critics....have to admit he had a decent game with horrid QB play.

Right?

Our wide receivers couldn't get open. They basically dared us to throw to anyone other than Lamb and Schultz. Anytime we threw Lamb or Schultz's direction, Tampa had three defenders around them. It was much like the problems we had in 2018 that caused us to trade for Cooper. We thought the other receivers would be able to do enough for Beasley to get open, but they just singled up the other receivers and bracketed Beasley because they knew the other receivers weren't a big threat. The positive is that at least we have Gallup coming back this year to be the No. 2.
