Noah Brown to short-term IR, Deonte Thompson to re-sign

This makes a little more sense. I wanted to keep Thompson not only because they said he's looked great in practice recently, but because he makes all the receivers on the roster contributors. He is the true deep threat on this team as Tavon is too short to be real WR deep threat. It's going to be nice seeing Dak's improving deep ball be put to use.

I think it will be the 5th CB or 3rd RB when they IR Datone Jones. I liked Jihad Ward and thought he would be on the 53, but I think the other positions could be a higher priority with the depth we have at DL.

Could you expand on that? Is it the total number of players lost vs signed? I would think the 25MM guaranteed to Hitchens had him in a different category than Thompson.

it is along with what contributions the lost FA contributes to his new team and what the FA signed contribute to Dallas.

Good move because now you have deep threats all over the field. You have Thompson/Austin/Williams/Beasley, and Zeke if you get him on a LB, all of whom can get down field pending "who's covering" them. There is always a weak link in the secondary, you just have to exploit them.
