Noah Brown

Jordan Reed is 6'2 235 lbs. Noah Brown can bulk up a little bit more and can be a tightend. I rather he be used that way than his talent rot on the bench.
Not sure he is a Reed-type though.

I do think they need to at least consider what to do with him. He has one very strong aspect to his game. Find another and you got yourselves a pretty good little player.

Maybe that's why Buck was shocked - Aikman saw HOF Irvin run that route a lot and still called Brown's better. Idk.

Aikman didn't call Brown's route better than Irvin's. He said it was one of the best come back routes I have ever seen.

I said this many times. He would be a great red zone weapon. He can block well enough for the run plays and he has size and receiving skills to go out for a pass. He could be what we envision Rico would turn out to be in the red zone.

I think the coaches are just beginning (albeit slowly) to see what they have in brown. he needs to be used more as a receiver than just a blocker. given his size and strength, I can see him running slants just like Michael Irvin. just put that big body between the defender and the ball.

Is your sig in Swahili?

They like Brown. And he’s an excellent ST player. They’re going to involve him more in the offense gradually towards the end of the season here.

2019 receivers group?

1. A. Cooper
2. M. Gallup
3. N. Brown
4. A. Hurns ?
5. C. Wilson
Slot - T. Austin
Hurns will be cut. Austin is a FA, but he may be cheap so I could see him

I think we draft someone too. I dont think we will early as we gave a 1st on Cooper and used a 3rd on Gallup. We dont need another starter. Will likely be a slot guy or a guy to compete with Wilson for the last spot

The biggest concern with Brown is he is a great blocker but it just doesn't seem like he will be able to branch out as a true receiver.

I used to think the idea of bulking him up for TE was silly, but considering his mentality and how much he actually likes what he is asked to do, it might not be so strange of an idea.
I dont know that he would ever bee a true TE, as much as a hybrid TE like Evan Engram.

I wonder if they havent started experimenting with that. A few plays I saw he seemed to be lined up pretty tight

Brown drew a holding foul from Eli Apple in the 1st Quarter. That is almost as good as a reception.

I was skeptical about them holding him to return from IR, but perhaps there is something here.

It seems to me like he's actually making some extent of progress over last year in receiving.

I'll be anxious to find out if he's going to continue improving that aspect of his game in 2019.

If you are a Oklahoma fan you know Noah Brown is a force

The comeback Aikman mentioned:

Eat into? Try get all of them. This kid is a baller but the staff is just starting to use him, even after they see this in practice? Either our DB’s are so good they shut him down or our OC is an idiot.

Why have they been waiting? I don’t get it? I’d forgotten how nice a player he was at Ohio State.

Sorry - THE Ohio State University.
