Noah Brown

Garrett/Linehan rarely used Brown as an actual target. I'm not anti-Brown, but I think his cost will always play a big part on whether they extend or replace him.
They certainly rostered a few to get a good look, so I agree with what you are saying and have said the same.
Its early and most fans didnt even realize we had an Eagles on this roster until the HOF game.

So, did he cement his place on the roster last night with that move the sticks catch in traffic? You know he is someone's pet cat on the staff and if they can find an excuse to keep him, they will.

I thought the same thing at the time. Add in his special teams contributions and I’d be surprised if he’s not on the 53. Unless it’s a one-day-cut and re-sign situation for roster moves.

I like Brown and hope he makes the team.

I like Wilson much better, and I doubt they can keep both after this season..

If Cooper and Gallup are going to be here in 2022, I doubt they can keep either, as each has been solid enough to probably get offers in the 3-4 per range.

They have some very big decisions at the WR spot in the coming offseason.

Yes they do. I have to wonder if they lose both Gallup (and decide to cut Cooper) that they try to re-sign either Wilson or Brown or both to cheaper deals due to familiarity and knowing the offense?

Cedric Wilson>>>>

And I'm not giving up on Fehoko yet. Still more preseason left. He needs to make some special teams tackles

Yes, I think Brown likely will earn a roster spot. He blocks and most importantly plays STs which is what your bottom of the game day roster WR needs to do and yes, he can make a play from time to time if needed. But, I find it funny that after a way too early, meaningless preseason game it's all of a sudden being shouted from the rafters. The days of giving a guy like Brown a ton of snaps to block are gone because we have 3 WRs that are going to be on the field a lot and our #4 WR is a better receiver. So it comes down to a young guy with the potential to be more being better than Brown on STs. I suspect they won't be and he'll be on the team to start the year and those young guys will have to settle for the practice squad until we lose one of our top 3 guys next year.

The thing to know about Brown is he had limited playing time a tOSU. The kid has the physicals and talent....but he really reallyt needs to get on the field to truly develop his potential.

Not sure he is gonna get much of that here.

As much as I like him (perhaps because of it), I'd like to see him go to a team and be #3 or solid #4.

Not a pet cat. You've read this one wrong. Noah is a hard nosed kid who is great at ST's. That's why he stays on the roster. Great attitude and more than willing to do the dirty work. Hope we keep him, he deserves it.

Yep, tough call.

A lot probably depends on what kind of season Gallup has.

If he breaks out and is going to command 12-15 per, then he is gone for sure.

If they retain Cooper and Gallup, they are going to need league minimum types as WR4 and 5, not vets on a second contract.....which Wilson and Brown deserve and will get in this league.

I haven’t seen any rookies do anything to push him off
Obviously don’t see practice each day but unless a rookie pushes him off he will be here
Good blocker
Good on ST
And can make some plays

He's actually a perfect 5th WR. Fans are just doing their normal kneejerk misreading thingie.

Other than age he really is a perfect 5
Ideally you want a young guy with a high ceiling
But none of these young kids have shown enough yet to knock him off the roster
There is time but he does so many things he’s gonna be hard to knock out

Brown was on his way to be one of their top WR's at OSU. Had a devastating broken leg in a game. The following year he was then limited as I think he was still getting over that injury, as well, other WR's stepped up. This hurt his draft status. I seen he was projected as high as a 3rd round pick. Because of that lack of playing time he slipped though.

I remember in January before they drafted him, I was in here saying Dallas needs to find a way to draft him.
I think he makes the team, and think he has better potential than Wilson.

He looks like he could be a starting NFL WR.

He’s big, fast, makes tough catches.. What is not to like? He has developed about like I thought he would.

I went into TC having Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, Brown, Wilson, Fehoko as the WR's. If Fehoko could play ST's and take over Turner's spot.

After the game, I will, for now, flip them, with Turner on the roster, and Fehoko on the PS. And no, I do not fear he will be picked up by another team.

I do. I’ve heard enough team officials mention him and how they credit the Cowboys on a great pick. I noticed even John Lynch mentioned him during the game.

His value is on Special Teams, which gives him an advantage over any other backup WR.
He’s also steadily improved in all areas as a WR in his own right.

I've always been a fan of Noah Brown.

He is the best blocking WR that I've ever seen. He is literally a better blocker than some NFL TEs.

He has pancaked multiple NFL Strong Safeties and has been very effective block LBs.
