Noah Brown's Progress?

Garrett doesn't trust young players, especially at skill positions. Add that to a list of his faults. However in the past few years he had to play and trust more than usual.

That is a true statement. Funny thing, we don't trust Garrett decision making so here we are...

Only blocks and has caught 2 passes all season. Our coaches never try new players, it's frustrating!
Yup. Last year we barely played Dak and Zeke their rookie years and this season we aren't using all our young talent in the secondary.

It's very frustrating.

Noah is physically blessed with strength, size and decent speed. He earned a reputation as having good hands in college but it remains to be seen how well he meshes with Dez, once the staff sees fit to use him in that capacity. Right now, he's just being utilized as a blocker by a staff that is highly reluctant to trust their rookies with truly impactful responsibilities.

Hopefully, we'll find out what he has to offer next year as a WR. To be totally fair to this young player, it takes a significant amount of time and reps with his QB to refine a WR's route-running skills at the pro level. Training camp should offer his best chance to be awarded that opportunity.

He didn't catch that many passes, because of a very bad broken leg. he did catch TD's and had a huge yards per catch stat.
He was coming around and catching everything when a broken leg ended his season. His next year, he was limited for a while because of it.
So that hurt his draft status. If not for the broken leg, I truly believe he could have been a high pick, at least a 2nd if not a late 1st rounder.

he was projected as high as a 3rd or 4th for a while. Not sure why he dropped. Probably because of lack of playing time as well as catches from that broken leg.

I won't deny he is somewhat of a project, but don't make it sound like he is a jag either.

He had one big game as a receiver in college. He was drafted because of his size, blocking and long-term potential.

The coaches have given him considerable opportunity all things considered.

Does it matter? Terrrence Williams still sucks and needs to be replaced...by anybody that can run faster than a 4.6 40.

I would say his upside is a solid #2 receiver, but his floor is pretty low. Like get cut off a couple teams and never play in the league again low. What will decide it is what the coaches are seeing in practice which is what we don't know and how he plays when he does get a few opportunities here and there.

I was excited about this guy's potential when we picked him up. Big enough at 6'2" and 220. Fast enough at 4.57. Strong enough at 19 reps of 225.

Just ZERO experience or polish.

From all of you that are better equipped to make an educated judgement, how is he progressing? Does he have a future? JAG? Solid number 2 or 3? Eventual number 1?
Should see more of him with Butler out.
