Noah Spence

Wrong Kind of Guy

I hope we're done with those experiments.

Of course hindsight is 20/20, but Spence is wearing out SEA's LT. Has a couple of sacks and is consistently getting pressure around the edge. I know he had some troubles (weed I think), but man that sort of pressure would be nice had we picked him in 2nd round.
It was ecstasy

It wasn't pot with this dude; he got banned from the Big 10 for ecstasy - that being said he went to a small school and really turned it around, including voluntary drug tests and writing personal letters to every NFL team prior to the draft.

Had we not gotten burned (pun intended) by Gregory, he probably would have been on our board and likely would have been our pick since the word is we were going to take Ogbah.

No more potheads
Once it becomes legal, being a pothead won't matter. The NFL is on the verge of changing that rule now. The problem is, it's still as of yet has not changed and Gregory is still a Cowboy.

It's the other drugs and of course cheaters you have to worry about. God know what happen when our QB coach (Wade Wilson) got caught for using HGH. Suspended five games and fined $100,000. The QB coach, not a damn player. The NFL is a trash league. They can't do anything right except make money. Whoops, scratch that last comment. Even that they can't seem to get right these days.

Never going to be allowed by the NFL.......maybe the no-THC salve.....but not straight weed

And who's that Ryan Russel dude, anyway?

I agree, we need to do a better job of finding that type of talent in lower rounds if we want to find those hidden gems.

Gregory's problem isn't that he's a pothead. There are plenty of potheads in the NFL. His problem is that he is a head case.

But then Jaylon Smith couldn't be walking on the sideline for us

Yeah I know. But each player should be evaluated independently. And we can't worry about mistakes of the past. It's why we drafted Greg Ellis over Randy Moss...

I disagree, yes Randy Moss went on to become a hall of famer and Greg Ellis was only an okay player, but given the information known at that time, it's hard to fault Jerry for that decision. Just as many people would have given him **** if Randy Moss' career went like Josh Gordon. It was never a question of talent, just could he focus on football enough to be great.
